Sugar Creek Hollow - Stitchin' up a storm!

Happy Saturday everyone! I finally have my computer back, so I am getting back into my crafting groove!! Hopefully you are all doing well! Our challenge this week is to use stitching on our cards. Well, the sewing machine was buried, so I decided to use faux stitching with my gold pen. I created an echo stitch around the outside of my card. Don't forget that March is still anniversary month at Sugar Creek Hollow--we still have the naming of an image contest coming up. If you would like to enter your card and get more details on this contest, please go HERE.

I don't have Photoshop, so I wasn't able to make a picture of the random.org results, so you are just going to have to trust me. Out of 26 comments, random.org picked 7 for the blog candy. That makes Patti P the winner!! I have your email, Patti, so I will be in contact with you!!

Stamps: March flower of the month by Sugar Creek Hollow
Paper: Botanical Gazette DSP, So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up
Ink: none

PTT8 Cut it UP, monochromatically speaking!!

2nd post today...please scroll down for Paper Pretties
Hang on to your hats, I actually colored in an image with something other than Copic markers! I think that this cute little bear is probably holding an umbrella because of the weeping that my Copic markers were doing!

The adorable bear image is from Stitchy Bear, and he is just precious. He was begging to be watercolored, so I printed him on watercolor paper, and voila, here he is!! Isn't he a cutie? We are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear, and they were so kind to furnish us with some awesome images!

Something else that you will have to hold on to your seats for...that wonderful polka dot paper? It's a digital paper! I didn't use any dp that I had purchased in a store! Isn't that amazing? You can also get this paper from Stitchy Bear!

Last, but not least, we have a technique called Cut it Up from Twosdays Techniques, and I altered it a bit using my Wonky Squares from Nestabilities.

If you would like to join us for this week's challenge of both monochromatic and cutting it up, please find samples and instructions HERE. We'd love to have you join us!

Paper Pretties Whatnots - Tuesday Edition - A Chic Bonnet

Hello Prettie fans!! It's Tuesday, and we are in for day two of the Paper Pretties Whatnots! We have some awesome images for you today, and I have chosen to use this little beauty for my card! Aren't they the sweetest little chicks? I had so much fun with this one, and I was able to take out some paper that was getting neglected -- Kioshi by Basic Grey. Sometimes, the palette just warrants it! The thin ribbon on the top and bottom is some recycled satin ribbon from a gift that I was given long ago! I love when I can recycle something! I have the two new images for this week by ARTish for Paper Pretties, and they can be purchased HERE. If you would like to see the other DT samples, you can find them on the Paper Pretties blog.

Woodware USA Challenge #19 - It's a Color Combo!

We have a color combo challenge for you this week at Woodware USA! The challenge is black, white, and a third color. Well, you all know that my favorite color to add to black and white is red, so here it is! I actually did a lot of stamping on this card with no embellishments. Yep, you heard me right...no embellishments! I think that my well-stocked craft room was probably weeping when I made this card.

I have used Palette Noir for the black ink and Real Red by Stampin' Up for the red. The cardstock is white, Basic Black, and Real Red from Stampin' Up. The set that I have chosen to use today is called Fancy Labels from Woodware USA. I just love its elegance. If you would like to join us this week at the Woodware USA challenge, please find all information and lovely samples HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I have used the new release image called Petal Cross Egg in my creation today along with new paper from Prima called Annalee (or at least new to me!). The flowers are also from Prima, and I used the Martha Stewart branch punch to top it off. It is difficult to tell from the picture, but the image is actual printed three times and mounted. The cardstock colors are Cool Caribbean and Rose Red from Stampin' Up. The image is colored using Copic markers.

Here is the blog candy that I am offering today...flowers, ribbons and a little bit of Vintage flair! Don't forget to leave a comment with your email address and become a follower if you aren't already one!! Thanks for hopping with us this week!
A Sugar Creek Hollow tidbit, in case you are unaware -- all of the profits from Sugar Creek Hollow go to help those less fortunate, so your purchase of images is going to help those who need it the most! Have a blessed day!

PTT7 A Whole Lotta Craftin' Going ON!

We have an awesome challenge for you this week at Party Time Tuesdays, and we have multiple sponsors this week! The challenge is to make an easel card this week using the sketch below from our sketch artist -- Stacy Koo. We used a wonderful tutorial from the ladies at Twosdays Techniques, and you will love their work! Remember that you can win a subscription to their tutorials. All of the details and your chance to enter can be found HERE.

I couldn't fit the shamrocks on my easel card, so I decided to make a little gift enclosure card that measures 3x3. I actually don't have any shamrock stickers, die cuts, or stamps, so I easily made this one from my heart Nestabilities dies. It was fun! The cute little flower stickers are from another sponsor of ours -- Circle B Enterprises. You will be amazed at their inventory, and the prices and service are exceptional!!

My easel card features our last sponsor -- Baby Bud Designs. We were so fortunate to be given adorable images to work with. I actually used two on my easel card, one that I was given and a free one that was given away by Baby Bud Designs. I had to use them together with Stacy's sketch!

Spring is Coming, Right?

We had a glorious weather weekend here in North Carolina. Temperatures were in the 60s and 70s, so it doesn't get much better than that! Perhaps it came to soften the blow of daylight savings time. I still despise losing an hour, but I guess I just have to go with the flow. I think the next few days are going to be interesting!

Our challenge this week at Woodware USA was to make a project that is spring-themed, and that can include colors and/or images. The set, Micey Mice is a newer one from Woodware USA, and it is adorable! I just love the cut little guy sitting in this teacup! If you would like to join us this week, just follow the instructions HERE!

I'll be back tomorrow with both my Party Time Tuesdays and Paper Pretties posts...you won't want to miss those!! See you soon!
