Art Impressions - Monochromatic Challenge #19

Let's Do Lunch!! These lovely ladies can only be doing one thing -- gossiping!! Or else swapping doctor stories! I was asked to be the guest designer at ART Impressions this month, and it is fun to step out of my box and use some fun stamps!! They have a challenge each week, and the prizes are awesome!

This week's challenge is to make your card monochromatic. Well, the few Art Impressions images that I have are very detailed, so that posed another challenge in my mind. How do I make it monochromatic. Well, I decided to pull a little trick and only coloring a few pieces of the image in the color that I had selected. Who doesn't love pink?

If you would like to join us this week, please visit HERE to upload your card and see other fabulous creations!

Woodware USA Challenge #21 - Monochromatic

These flowers remind me of my pansies out front! We planted them back in the fall, and I really thought they were toast during the colder months (and a few snowfalls), but they are gorgeous and thriving now. I knew that I wanted to use this set for my monochromatic card today. The set is called Flowers and Frames from Woodware USA, and the sentiment is from the set Jane's Script. I love Jane's Script, and I find myself reaching for it very often with a lot of my cards! I love a good all-purpose sentiment set! If you would like to join us this week, please find samples and more details HERE. Remember that we draw for a monthly winner of a free stamp set at Woodware USA! Cheers to you all! Card Details: Stamps: Jane's Script and Flowers and Frames by Woodware USA Paper: Almost Amethyst and Concord Crush cardstock and Almost Amethyst DSP by Stampin' UP Ink: Concord Crush by SU; Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Copic markers (BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04, BV08, Y06); May Arts ribbon; Making Memories; charm

PTT8 Cut it UP, monochromatically speaking!!

2nd post today...please scroll down for Paper Pretties
Hang on to your hats, I actually colored in an image with something other than Copic markers! I think that this cute little bear is probably holding an umbrella because of the weeping that my Copic markers were doing!

The adorable bear image is from Stitchy Bear, and he is just precious. He was begging to be watercolored, so I printed him on watercolor paper, and voila, here he is!! Isn't he a cutie? We are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear, and they were so kind to furnish us with some awesome images!

Something else that you will have to hold on to your seats for...that wonderful polka dot paper? It's a digital paper! I didn't use any dp that I had purchased in a store! Isn't that amazing? You can also get this paper from Stitchy Bear!

Last, but not least, we have a technique called Cut it Up from Twosdays Techniques, and I altered it a bit using my Wonky Squares from Nestabilities.

If you would like to join us for this week's challenge of both monochromatic and cutting it up, please find samples and instructions HERE. We'd love to have you join us!
