FBW#115 Flutter By Butterfly

I'm not usually a Clean and Simple kind of girl, but I seriously toned this card down this week!! I wanted the sentiment and the designer paper to do the talking. The paper just reminds me of a field of wildflowers (I love seeing the wildflowers along the interstate in West Virginia when we drive North). So, I employed the CAS and KISS (keep it simple silly) method on this one! This week's Flutter By challenge is an open one, so show us what you've got and post it HERE. We always love to come and visit!!
Card Details:
Paper: Green at Heart by Basic Grey; Kraft and Rich Razzleberry by Stampin' Up

PTTC#9 It's a Blooming Birthday

I kept this week's birthday card for Party Time Tuesdays very simple! This week's challenge, #9, is anything goes. So, start planning those birthday cards for this week! All you have to remember is to include a birthday related sentiment on the front of the card.

My card today is actually 4 1/4x4 1/4 square. I love making a small card sometimes just to mix it up a bit. The stamps are from a set by Woodware USA called Garden Greetings. The set is a wonderful mix of both sentiments and small garden images. I colored the image with Copic markers and Spica glitter pens. I finished off the card by stamping the image, using my Creative Memories Oval cutting system, and using Nestabilities to cut the scalloped oval. The ribbon is from my stash, and it is from a Christmas set. The paper is from Stampin' Up--Wild Wasabi and Real Red. Fun and fast card to make!
Enjoy your Tuesday! See you tomorrow for my Flutter By Wednesday card.
Don't forget...mark your calendars for this Sunday! Woodware USA is having a blog hop to introduce our new design team, and there will be prizes!!

Scrapmaster's Paradise Raspberry Tart Projects

Second Post today...please scroll down for the Woodware DT announcement!!

I have three more projects using the Raspberry Tart paper kit ( it is such a great deal at $5.50!!)available from Samantha at Scrapmaster's Paradise. She has a real eye for pairing things together, and this paper kit is one of my favorites from Stampin' Up.
I had to include some of my own paper in this one, but I couldn't resist using my new Cricut cartridge, Wild Card. The stamps that I used are from Vintage Labels by Stampin' Up. The colors are Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Rose Red.
The stamps are from a new SU set called Friends Never Fade, and it is beautiful with these papers! The dry embossing is from a Sizzix embossing folder also from the SU catalog.

Finally, another simple option made with this lovely kit!! The colors just pop!! Stay tuned for my next Scrapmaster's Paradise kit where I can finally reveal the August 2010 card kit. I can't wait to show it to you!!

Basic Grey Page of the Month - July 2010

This is my adaptation of the Basic Grey page of the month kit for July 2010. Peggy at Southern Scrapbooks, our local store in Fort Mill, SC opted to sponsor this monthly page kit. Well, I've been challenged to not only make the sample pages each month, but to come up with other projects using all of the leftovers. And, if you've ever had a Basic Grey kit, there are plenty of leftovers!! The paper and embellishments for this month's kit are from the Max and Whiskers line which is pet-themed. Well, we don't have pets, so I told Peggy I would adapt it for something else, and here it is!!

All materials provided with the Basic Grey page of the month kit for July 2010.

Cheers!! Max in the Martini

When I saw the sketch at CCEE Stampers this week, I thought it was fun. The fact that the twist was it had to be a beverage also...I had just the stamp!! I bought this stamp almost a year ago, and it hasn't seen ink! I added Crystal Effects to make the glass look like glass, and I was also able to use this lovely little metal sticker from Joanns that was picked up almost 2 years ago. See, everything can be used at some time! Finally, the designer paper is from the Sweet Pea pack by Stampin' Up, and it reminded me of olives and bubbles, so I HAD to use it!

Challenges:

Card Details:
Stamps: Max by Sparkle and Sprinkle
Paper: Sweet Pea DSP; Chocolate Chip and So Saffron CS by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic markers; Crystal Effects; Metal epoxy sticker from Joanns; Sizzix embossing folder for SU;
