Whimsy and Stars

I have a couple of Whimsy and Stars cards to share with you today! I just love these images, and they are so amazing to work with! You all know I love cute, and these can't get any cuter! I don't always make yellow and blue combination cards, but I just had to with this image! I colored the image called "Best Friends" first, and I knew that one of the little girls would have to be blond and dressed in blue and yellow! And, of course, there is always my favorite color -- purple -- to set things off! The paper that I used is from the Brights pack of designer series paper from Stampin' Up. The cardstock colors are Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight (hands down, my all time favorite yellow!) The shapes are cut with Nestabilities, and I added a bow in Daffodil Delight satin ribbon using my Bow Easy.

My second card is from the Freebie challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center (CDAC), and Mabelle gave away this free image, so that we could all play along with the challenge! It is a beautiful floral image, and it too was fun to work with! I also used Daffodil Delight on this card, but the photograph makes it look more muted! The paper is from Basic Grey, and I also included Rich Razzleberry. I used Nestabilities to cut out the image! The ribbon buckle is from Stampin' Up and so is the border punch used on the panel.

Check out Mabelle RO's Whimsy and Stars Etsy store HERE for fabulous digital images!

Thanks for stopping by today! I always appreciate the visit!

Well, it's Monday, and maybe we got our party on over the weekend! Have you ever felt like this little guy in the glass? Well, I guess it is only pink lemonade, but you never know! I just loved him when I saw him, and I knew the perfect paper to put with him...and, it's from Target! Love the $$$ section at Target!

We have a lovely challenge this week at Paper Pretties, and it is to make it shine! Well, I added a little bit of Crystal Effects to give the glass some texture. The picture below shows a close up of the glass with this little cutie floating in it! Check out all of our other samples HERE!

Woodware USA Challenge #36 Stamp That Background

Isn't it funny that it is now a big deal if I don't use designer paper on my cards? And, this card isn't square...it's a plain old A2 size. Wow, I'm revisiting my roots today! The background is stamped, and I haven't used any designer paper. None! Wow, that is liberating!

If you would like to join us for this week's Woodware USA challenge, please provide a direct link to your creation HERE. Don't forget that you need to have a stamped background and you could win one of our monthly prizes! It's very easy to do...you have two chances each week to play along, and if you use a Woodware USA stamp, you have an extra entry in our drawing! We can't wait to see what you can come up with as we go a little retro this week!

FBW163 Anything Goes!!

Happy Wednesday, Flutter By fans!! We are back again this week with an open challenge! We can't wait to see what you all come up with, but please don't forget to include an angel, butterfly, or fairy on your creation! If you would like to see more samples, get more information, and upload your card, please visit HERE.

This little cutie is one from a stash of stamped images that I had. She is from the Pure Innocence collection for My Favorite Things. Isn't she precious? I love the paper from Basic Grey called Green at Heart, so I used it for mose of my card, including all of the layers. The white layer is the only paper that is from Stampin' Up. The image is colored with Copic markers, and I got a little heavy handed with the Stickles on the Nestabilities shape! It happens!! The ribbon is really sweet from May Arts!

Thanks for stopping by today!

PTT23 A Double Header for you Today!!

I have a double header for you today at Party Time Tuesdays! We have some amazing sponsors this month at Party Time Tuesdays, and they are all listed below. However, I'm a bit partial to Paper Pretties, as you can imagine! The above card features a sepia card topper from Charlie's Ark, which is connected to Flower Soft. They are absolutely gorgeous images, and I used a tutorial from Flower Soft to just add watercolor pops of color to the image. The tutorial can be found HERE. The paper used in the above card is from one of our sponsors this month...The Robin's Nest. They totally spoiled us with amazing double-sided paper and great embellishments!

In the above card, I used my Dienamics dies from MFT, and I just love them!! I used a bit of Very Vanilla craft ink to whiten up the edges. I still can't find my Whisper White craft ink...it must be lost somewhere with all of my socks!! I used pastels from Stampin' Up to give a little color to my background with Tommy flying his kite. The sentiment is from Woodware USA.

If you would like to join in the party this week at Party Time Tuesdays, you can visit HERE for more details and to upload your card!
