Fun in the Sun

It's a scorcher here in Charlotte with a heat index of close to 100 degrees. Here comes the heat, not my favorite time of the year, but I decided to make the best of it by hitting my craft room. Of course, I'm avoiding cleaning the house, but I can't be perfect!! And, I packed 7 challenges into this card...is that a record for me? It might be!!

A Week of Firsts...Sweet Pea in Emerald

Yesterday, it was my first easel card. Today, it is my first card using a Sweet Pea stamp. Now, I get it. I know what everyone is raving about. This image is fabulous! I had so much fun coloring her, and her expression just holds so much mystery. All of the elements came together on this one for me, and I enjoyed creating it. I love it when that happens...

She is for the Saturday Spotlight challenge (SSHP23) which is to make a birthday card in your birthstone color. Mine is May, so the birthstone is emerald. Also, she reminds me of all the lush landscape of spring! The Crafty Catz Challenge #24 is for a spring card.

Card Details:
Stamps: Sweet Pea
Paper: Chocolate Chip by SU; Marcella by K paper pad
Ink: Palette Noir
Accessories: May Arts leafy vine ribbon; Spica glitter pens; Copic markers; Martha Stewart punches; Prima flowers

FBW95 Sassy in Jeans!!

Happy, happy Wednesday, Flutter By fans!! It is February, can you believe it? Meredith and I went to Myrtle Beach this past weekend, and the only supplies that I took with us were images and Copic markers. Meredith had a ball using my Copic markers to color images (the ones that I would let her have!!) I was able to finally color this little cutie. Way back over the summer, Cristy Croll designed this stamp especially for Danni and her Flutter By Wednesday challenge. I can't believe that it took me this long to use it! It's a sassy image, and I knew that denim and pink would have to finish it off!
This week's challenge is an open one...just don't forget to use a fairy, butterfly or angel somewhere on your card. LINK YOUR CARD HERE. It has been amazing to see the response to our wonderful Flutter By Wednesday challenge each week! I was remiss in commenting due to our little vacation and lack of internet access, but I promise to visit your creations this week!
My card is also for the following challenges:
Crafty Catz Challenge #17 - sketch HERE
Saturday Spotlight (SSHP16) - Bigger is Better (large image and other items on card)

Paper: Going Gray and Pink Passion CS by Stampin' Up; Denim DSP; Pink flower DSP by SEI

Blowing Kisses

Happy Saturday morning!! Saturday mornings are what I call my lazy mornings...I sleep in a bit, stay in my pajamas, and I have the house to myself for a couple of hours while Matt and Meredith go out for bagels and such. Peace in the house...love it! I had to finish up a couple of cards that I made yesterday so that I could post them today. I combined a lot of challenges on this one...I believe I may be slightly obsessed, but I thrive on a challenge.

Cute Card Thursday #96 - Fairy Fantastic; use a fairy on your project
Crafty Catz Challenge #16 - Love...use hearts on your creation
