FREE Stamp Pads from Woodware USA

Welcome to another week at Woodware USA! Our design team has some fabulous challenge cards for you this week!! We have used buttons on all of our creations. I always love to see the different things that the design team comes up with, and this week is no exception. Please check back every day to see a new creation made with Woodware USA stamps.

Some awesome news from Woodware USA—

Two FREE Inky Links Inkpads with any purchase from Woodware USA!! And, if that wasn't good enough for you --
28 NEW stamp sets are in the store…you have to check them out! There are some awesome new sets just in time for the holidays!!

My card today uses a beautiful set by Woodware USA called A Winter’s Day. It is so beautiful, and it was really fun to color. I think I must base everything now on whether an image is colorable (I know it’s not a word, but it truly conveys what I want to say!).

I have also used some yummy new paper from Basic Grey called Jovial, and I paired it with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla by Stampin’ Up. I colored the image with Copics, and I used Stickles to accent. The final touch is three buttons and a big luscious bow made with the Bow Easy.
Thanks for stopping by today...I really appreciate all of your support and comments!! Now, go get your free ink pads!!

Sensational Fall Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!!

Well, the calendar may say it’s fall, but the 90+ temperatures and drought conditions would indicate otherwise! I’m hoping for crisp temperatures, vivid colors and wonderful aromas…I’ll just have to settle for a fall card!

This week’s challenge was to use the digi—Lord of the Harvest in our card. I wanted to keep this card simple…I can seriously run the risk of over embellishing my cards if left to my own devices. I had to reign it in this week and use restraint. I thought the curvy rectangles from Nestabilities would be a perfect shape for my card, along with some dry embossing! I paired the image with Riding Hood Red and Old Olive by Stampin’ Up. I topped off the card with Copic markers and taffeta ribbon from Stampin’ Up. Of course I took out my trusty Bow Easy for the perfect triple bow!!
I'm entering this card additionally in the following challenges:

Remember to stop back next Saturday for a wonderful Sugar Creek Hollow blog hop featuring Christmas images. Somehow, the air is going to become crisp!! Thanks for stopping by!!

FBW123 Any Winged Thing

ANY WINGED THING!! This week only at Flutter By Wednesday, you can include any winged thing on your card. Now, this is special, and it will only be for one week, so take advantage and upload your creation HERE!

I used this unloved and uninked stamp from Unity Stamps. The paper is one I also have had laying around that was crying out to be used!! The sentiment is from the Woodware USA set Garden Greetings.

Sorry for the quick post today…life has been extremely hectic here, and I always seem to be playing catchup!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Paper Piecing, Penguins, and Possibly...

The most glitter and bling EVER!!

This week’s challenge for Woodware USA is to use GLITTER and BLING in your creations. Well, sometimes I feel like I came out of the womb destined to be glittery! And, the way I find little specks all over my house, I think that I still haven’t lost my glitz!

I have used the adorable set—Penguin Fun for my card today, and it is a fun one! I also coupled it with some marvelous Christmas paper from My Mind’s Eye. I’ve also greatly distressed as many edges as I could! We hope that you will join us and play along!!

In addition, I am entering the above card into two challenges this week:

Next, I have my card from last week’s challenge—paper piecing. My usual day to post was this past Saturday, but I decided to just run the two together. If I could have paper pieced the girl’s skin, I would have. Everything else is paper-pieced using Green at Heart by Basic Grey. I just love that paper, and I was able to use my scraps on this one! The cardstock colors are Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry by Stampin’ Up. I used an EK Success border punch and some SU ribbon and punches.

A close up of my paper piecing frenzy...please excuse the smudge! In my haste, I didn't look closely at my fingers!

Things are cooking at Woodware USA

...cooking with a recipe, that is!! Our challenge this week for the Woodware USA design team was a recipe--1 ribbon, 2 circles, and 3 flowers! I was able to use my new set from Woodware USA called Robins. The set is super cute and versatile...offering you options for both Christmas and birthdays/all occasion. You will love it!!
My process on this card was what I would call organic. I started only coloring part of the image, then I went searching for paper to match it. I decided on some older Basic Grey paper. Then, I went back to coloring to match the paper. However, I actually had a little trouble incorporating all of the recipe, but I worked it out!

Card Details:

Stamps: Robins by Woodware USA
Paper: Euphoria by Basic Grey; Tempting Turquoise and Rose Red by Stampin' Up; glitter paper by Doodlebug Designs
Ink: Palette Noir
Accessories: Copic markers; Creative Memories cutting system; SU ribbon; Prima flowers; Spica glitter pens

FBW121 It's all about the PINK!!

We are so pleased to have a wonderful sponsor this week at Flutter By Wednesday...Susanna's Custom Art and Card Design. She has so generously supplied us with the new releases, and I was fortunate to be able to work with Just Ducky, a new design by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD!!

We hope that you will join us this week, and don't forget to check in at the FBW blog to see who won the fabulous blog candy this week!! I so wish I could've entered!! The challenge this week was to use pink, pink, and more pink. Now, I did flub up the challenge, and I forgot a butterfly...what was I thinking. I hope you can forgive my seriously bad faux pas! However, I was just awed by the cuteness of this little image!!

I wanted to highlight the Crystal Effects that I used on the rain coat and rain boots!! I think it really added some texture!!

Card Details:
Stamps: Just Ducky by Elisabeth Bell for Susanna's Custom Art and Card Designs; Sentiment from Stampin' Up
Paper: Melon Mambo CS and DSP; Pink Pirouette by SU

FBW120 Birthday BLOWOUT!!

It's HERE!! There is no more waiting...it's September! And, you know what that means...a BIG 'OL PARTY at FBW!!! Danni is doing it up right, and you have the supreme benefit! There are so many prizes...you have to bust out the stamps this week just to get the chance to win!!

This wonderful sketch created by Mercy Kerin is our inspiration for the challenge this week!

A huge thank you to the following, in no particular order~

Isn't that amazing? What are you waiting for? Read all of the DETAILS and upload your card HERE...just don't forget to include a fairy, butterfly or angel on your card! That is one of the most important parts!

I decided that my coloring with Copics had gotten a little complacent, so I tried really hard on this one to get the shading just right. I like the way that it came out, and I really enjoyed coloring this new image (to me, at least) from Motivet! It is beautiful, and it combines two of my favorite things...fairies and butterflies!

Card Details:
Stamps: Fairy with Butterfly by Motivet; Warmest Regards by Stampin' Up
Paper: Kioshi by Basic Grey; Concord Crush and Pink Pirouette by Stampin' Up; Glitter paper
Ink: Concord Crusth by SU; Palette Noir
Accessories: Copic markers; Stickles; MS butterfly punch; EK Success border punch; Ribbon; Queen and Company bling
