Sensational Saturday - Inside Out

Are you ready for the weekend? It's been a long week here, fraught with more computer issues. So, please forgive my lack of commenting this week. My computer has almost been thrown out the window several times this week!

On to better things! This week our challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow is to make an inside out card. This is actually my second card because the first one just wouldn't come together. However, I am pleased with this one as I feel the inside and outside are opposite images of the other. The wonderful image is called Decorative Cross from Sugar Creek Hollow, and I kept the design simple by only using white, black and gray paper to highlight it!

We would love to have you join us this week. Please visit the blog HERE for more details and to upload your card!

Card Details:
Stamps: Decorative Cross by Sugar Creek Hollow
Paper: My Mind's Eye Meadowlark DSP; Black, White, and
Basic Gray cardstock by Stampin' Up
Accessories: Silver pen; Nestabilities; Cuttlebug embossing folder;

Woodware USA Challenge #15 - A shaped card

Sorry for the delay...serious computer woes. And, it is the strangest and most infuriating thing. I can't copy text or anything else without my computer freezing up! Try inserting an InLinkz code without being able to do that? I have to copy it down on paper and type it in. GRRRRRR!!

Enough of my woes!! Our challenge this week at Woodware USA is to make a shaped card! I had to use this fun stamp from Woodware USA called Bubble Butterflies. Well, the placing the jewels was a bit labor intensive, but it is a fun card! If you would like to join us this week, click HERE for more details! (and, yes, I had to hand type in all of these links...LOL!)

Woodware Challenge #14 - Embossing

It's some wonky birthday fun here at Woodware USA!! Our challenge this week is to use embossing on our cards, either with embossing powder or with dry embossing with embossing folders. I chose the dry embossing route today.

I just love the wonky squares from Spellbinders, so I knew that they would work perfectly on my card today. The colors complement this fun paper from My Mind's Eye, and I thought the whimsy of the set Birthday Fun from Woodware USA would be the great combination! The sentiment is from another fabulous Woodware USA set -- Mixed Greetings.

If you like the sets featured in my card, please visit Woodware USA for a 15% discount on all orders. You cannot beat that!

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow, I will have both my Party Time Tuesdays card and my Paper Pretties Whatnots card. See you then!

SCH - A Non-Traditional Valentine

I grew up loving Hallmark commercials...maybe that is why I am so drawn to cards! They have a new commercial for Valentine's Day, and their message is not just "I Love You", but "I Love US." I think that is brilliant. We sometimes forget to show our love and appreciation on other days besides Valentine's Day.

Our challenge this week at Sugar Creek Hollow is to create a non-traditional Valentine. If you would like to see other samples, gather more details, and participate with us, please visit HERE.

I just love this wonderful vintage dress that Tracy has added to the store...it is also wonderful to be able to paper piece it! Thanks for stopping by today...have a marvelous weekend

Paper: Basic Grey Euphoria; Stampin' Up So Saffron DSP and Kraft

FBW141 Fairy Friends

We made it...halfway through the week! Despite the fact that there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow, I'm going to remain optimistic because it will be in the high 50s/low 60s next week. Crazy weather, huh?

Valentine's Day is creeping around the corner. I can't believe all of the Valentine's Day cards that I have made of late...I am not sure I even know that many people!!

Our challenge this week at the Flutter By Wednesday challenge was to use at least three hearts in our creation, but don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your project. I had colored this image, and I wanted to use it for today's card, so I found a great sketch this week -- the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #103 -- and I went for it. The designer paper is by Stampin' Up, but I'm not sure of the name because it came in a pack of miscellaneous paper from someone. The cardstock that I used was Cougar White for the image, Pretty in Pink and Basic Gray by Stampin' Up. The image is called Fairy Friends by Paper Makeup, and the hearts are cut from a punch made by Creative Memories. You can join us in the challenge this week by uploading your card HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!
