Happy Graduation Day at Paper Pretties

It's that time of year again...so many fresh young faces graduating!  Whether it be from preschool, kindergarten or college, it is all excitement.  Today, we have this little cutie from Fawn to debut today.  I've paired her with an older sentiment from Seuss Truths, and it says, "Today is your day--your mountain is waiting."  I love it!!  When you graduate, you feel like you are faced with a mountain, but you are so ready to climb it!  What feelings at that time!

If you would like to join us and make your graduation card, please visit HERE for samples and more details!

Paper Pretties Monday Challenge - Winter Wonderland

Has everyone recovered from Christmas? We had a really low-key day yesterday! We woke up at 7, Meredith was done opening presents at 7:20, and we were off to church by 8:15. When we arrived home around 10 or so, it was just the beginning of the laziness of the day! I love days like that!

Today, our Monday challenge at Paper Pretties is Winter Wonderland. I've chosen this little cutie named Breezy to play with today! He is a bargain as he comes with the image and three sentiments! The paper is from the line 12 Days of Christmas from My Mind's Eye, and I just love it! It is so bright and cheerful for the holidays! The image is cut out using a Nestabilitiy image that is specific to Scrap-mart.com. The snowflakes are leftovers from the snowflake border behind the image.

If you would like to join in the fun, please upload your card HERE. Thanks for stopping by today!

Party Time Tuesdays #47 - Ribbons, ribbons, RIBBONS!!

Welcome to the party!! Are you all ready for the holidays, if that is what you celebrate? December always seems to be a mad dash! Our daughter still has three days of school this week with her party and a special mass being tomorrow. Unfortunately, all of her friends in public school have been out since last Friday, so she is feeling a little left out. She just keeps telling them that she gets a longer spring break than they do! Gotta love 7 year old logic!

Our challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays is to use ribbon on our creations. We are sponsored again this week by My Mind's Eye and 3 Girl Jam, and our stamps are sponsored by

both The Greeting Farm and Bugaboo Stamps. Half of our team worked on either image. I have this adorable one from Bugaboo! I just love the little reindeer! I have kept the style of the card simple by accenting the image with the ribbon! The color of this ribbon is called Mistletoe...very apropos! If you would like to join us and have a chance to win, please upload your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today!

My late posts!! Partying with PTT

I'm afraid that I have to ask all of you for forgiveness. December is literally kicking my behind! I seem to barely be home, and my house is only about an eighth decorated for Christmas. I believe that this my be my craziest December on record! However, I'm trying to find some balance and not become stressed out! I refuse to act like Scrooge! That being said, I hope that all of you are enjoying the month. I'm also trying to remain centered and remember that we as a family are celebrating Jesus' birth, and that now is a perfect time to reflect on how we can share our time, talents, and bounty with those who go without.

My two above cards are for this week's and last week's (hangs head in shame) Party Time Tuesdays posts. They were featured on time on the blog, but craziness prevented me from posting them on here. We were so graciously sponsored by My Mind's Eye with a fantastic pack of paper this month. Aren't the colors gorgeous. And, we have amazing images from Paper Makeup and The Paper Shelter!! All of these sponsors are just wonderful people who make wonderful products! The last sponsor provided us with the lucious ribbon--3 Girl Jam, and the colors we were given were Holly Berry and Mistletoe! It's not too late to join in the fun and win some prizes at Party Time Tuesdays! You can enter your card HERE!

I will see you on Monday for Paper Pretties!!

FBW172 Partying with Susana!

Hello Flutter By Wednesday fans!! I'm so happy that you are back for another week in our month-long birthday celebration! Remember that all of the challenges are open this month -- just don't forget your butterflies, fairies and angels on your cards! This week we have a sponsor near and dear to Danni's heart - Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD).

I only own one stamp from Susana...can you believe that? And, here this little cutie is! I had to add a butterfly...thank goodness I remembered! The paper is Love Me Do from My Mind's Eye, and the card stock is both Basic Black and Daffodil Delight from Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from a Woodware USA set called Ribbon Banners. I love that new set...one of my current faves! The image is colored with Copic markers, and I've used this wonderful red, textured ribbon to set things off!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please join us HERE to play along in the Flutter By Wednesday challenge this week!

Woodware USA Challenge #44 - A Sketch!!

Just another Manic Monday, and I'm raring to go!! Crazy, busy week ahead, but I have some fun cards to slow the pace a bit! Today, we have a sketch from Woodware USA, and it is a fun shaped card!! If you would like to adapt and attach the circular shape to a square card, that would be just fine! Upload your cards HERE and play along with us this week!

I made a very simple card this week, and I used a sentiment with these wonderful Ribbon Banners! They are the perfect accent or focal point to any card. I had a little issue with my cutter at the top, but I made it work. Sometimes, it is the simplest things that confound you! The card stock is Kraft and Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up, and the designer paper is called Ooo La La by My Mind's Eye. I used the Creative Memories circle cutting system to make the card, and the scalloped shape is Nestabilities. The small circles are punched with an SU punch, and the ribbon is crinkled in the background...not sure where in my travels I acquired that!

Thanks for stopping by today...can't wait to have you play along!

Woodware USA #41 - a 3-2-1 Challenge

This week's challenge at Woodware USA is a 3-2-1 challenge -- 3 papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 image. It was fun to get my creative groove on with this week's challenge! The paper is one of my favorites from My Mind's Eye -- Fine and Dandy. The set is from Woodware USA and it is called Ted in the Garden. I colored the image with Copic markers, then I cut the image with Nestabilities and sponged the edges to give it a bit of a frame. It is layered on Chocolate Chip cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The middle paper is cut with a border punch from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by today...hope all of you survived the wrath of Irene!

FBW168 A Surprise from Victoria Case!!

This sweet image is from Victoria Case, and she designed it especially for Danni at Flutter By Wednesday! We are so privileged to be able to create with her this week! I just loved this image. In fact, I wanted it to come out just right that I would only color a little bit of it and obsess over what colors to use from there on out. It took me three days to color the image. Not because it was hard, just wanted it to be right! Well, I like the way she came out! We would love to have you join us this week at Flutter By Wednesday for an open challenge. All you need to do is include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your creation, and you are golden! Upload your creation HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today...it's an exciting day here! Meredith is back to school! It is sad to say goodbye to summer, but she is so looking forward to 1st grade! Wow, is she growing up!

Woodware USA Challenge #29 - Forgotten Embellishments

Snaps, Snaps, SNAPS!! I have a ton of them, and I have never, not ever, even used one of them...until today! I know that my hoarding, I mean collecting, tendencies go into overdrive with craft items, but this was just ridiculous! I think I was intimidated to use them because I had seen people use them and bend the outside. Well, I actually got out my Crop-a-dile, and I put it on the correct setting, and I did them. Not only did I do the cards for this challenge, but I made this my swap card for my stamp club this month. And, each card used 8 snaps. That is a lot of snaps...I even cleared out all of the yllow ones, and I had to switch to blue. That is why I have two pictures for you today!

If you would like to join us at Woodware USA for this week's forgotten embellishment challenge, please visit HERE for more details and to upload your card!

Paper Pretties Monday Whatnots, Tuesday Edition

2nd post today--please scroll down for Party Time Tuesdays

It's another awesome release from ARTish for Paper Pretties this week! I just love this little guy...his name is Webster, and he looks like he is having the time of his life playing at the old watering hole! Did you have a favorite watering hole growing up? Well, being that I grew up in the country near a creek, we had some fun! But, my grandparents had a cottage on Lake Erie that we spent the summers exploring both the woods and the water! I think about how dirty we would get on those days! I don't think that my own child would appreciate how rustic that really was! Anyway, I digress...

We also have an adorable image of the Tooth Fairy this week that you can find in the Paper Pretties store. If you would like to see all of the other amazing creations from the design team, visit HERE. Thanks for stopping by today!

Card Details:
Stamps: Webster by ARTish for Paper Pretties; sentiment by Paper Pretties
Paper: Bo Bunny and My Mind's Eye DSP, Kraft and Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up
Ink: Kraft, Soft Sky, and Chocolate Chip by SU; Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Cloud template; Copic markers; My Minds Eye rick rack; SU border punch

Woodware USA Challenge #25 - A Color Combo

Well, finally, I have a new computer, and today is my first post using it!! Can I tell you that limbo really isn't fun! I've been without a computer for over a week, and I salvaged some of my things on it, but not all! Luckily, a lot of my digital images were backed up on either my external hard drive or stored in my email account. Thank goodness for that! However, I wasn't able to print out any of my digital images for over a week. A lot of catching up to do for me!! Anyway...

Our challenge this week at Woodware USA was a color combo -- blue, yellow, and brown. I love blue and yellow, but I wanted to throw the brown in as a little extra. And, a combo is born! If you would like to join us, you can upload your card HERE! We are looking for guest designers, so play along with us!
