My card for today is actually one that I made as the April Guest Designer for Firecracker Designs by Pamela, and she featured this card on her blog yesterday. It was really fun to create because the layout is simple, and I actually used her die cuts that go with the primrose set to do them. How clever is that? No cutting! I don't consider myself lazy, but I was loving the prospect of not having to cut these flowers! From there, I arranged them in a bouquet, and I punched two small holes near the stems to pass the ribbon through. This ribbon is left over from my wedding, almost 8 years ago...see, I never get rid of anything!
This is a side view of the card to see that it has a three dimensional quality to it. I chose to go very simple with the background paper because I didn't want it to detract from the flowers. I used watercolor crayons from Stampin' Up and ink and an aqua painter to color the flowers. It was super easy, but I like the look of the flowers. The only thing that took a while was finding just the right placement for the flowers. I had to lightly tack them down a bit in strategic places to keep them from moving around too much.

Paper: Urban Prairie by Basic Grey; Elegant Eggplant by Stampin' Up
