PTT66 Ribbons Galore

We are celebrating your special day at Party Time Tuesdays...so sorry for the delay in my post!  I went back in late last night to check on it, and I had the wrong date in my post ahead option.  YIKES...where is my brain lately!  I turn 40 in a week and a half, and I believe that early onset has kicked in (hehehe). 

Our challenge this week is to use two ribbons on our cards, and we have some fabulous sponsors including:  Digi Stamp Characters; Stitchy Bear; and Sassy Studio Designs.  There are lots of fabulous prizes to be had! 

I went fairly simple with my design today, and the ribbons are layered on top of one another (Real Red satin and Night of Navy grosgrain).  The image is colored with Copic markers, and I use both Nestabilities and SU punches to accent the card.  The sentiment is from Woodware USA.

FBW199 Case-ing and Saying Goodbye

It's a cliche--"all good things must come to an end." A cliche, but it doesn't make it any less real! Today is the 199th challenge at Flutter By Wednesday, and next week, it will turn 200. Then, Danni is going to turn off the lights for the FBW challenge. What an amazing run it has had, and I'm so grateful to have been a part of it for so long. Danni gave me my first shot on a design team, and it has meant the world to me. She is an awesome team leader and an awesome person. I'm still in a bit of denial, and I'm sure that Wednesdays will feel funny without posting a Flutterby card, but we understand that it is time to move on! PTT41 Bling in On!

Hello lovelies!! We are getting blingy and sparkly at Party Time Tuesdays this week! We have wonderful images from Paper Shelter and Sparkle Creations!! And, don't forget VIVA DECOR!! I am really enjoying working with my glitter liner and pearl pens! They are awesome!

I went in search of Viva Decor tutorials on Youtube for some inspiration on this card. I found a fun one HERE. I ran into a few snags...didn't have a great swirl, it didn't show up well with the Versamark, and then I went off book and tried to add a swirl/flourish of my own. Anywho...it was still pretty, so I just went with it! It can't be perfect all of the time! Just know that Versamark stands out better on cardstock rather than tone on tone designer paper!

FBW178 Giving Thanks

Hello Fluttery fans--it's Wednesday, and we have a beautiful challenge for you this week! We are giving thanks and showing gratitude. When I saw this little beauty, I knew that yellow and blue were going to be my go to colors! I also finally used my large butterfly border from EK Success...it is a beauty!

The designer paper is unknown because it was in my scrap pile! The cardstock is Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight by Stampin' Up. I used a Viva Decor glitter pen in sapphire for my accents...I just love them. I don't think I will ever need to buy pearls to stick on again! The sentiment is from Woodware USA, and the main image is from Sweet Pea! I love it, and this is the first time it has been inked!

Woodware USA Challenge #44 - A Sketch!!

Just another Manic Monday, and I'm raring to go!! Crazy, busy week ahead, but I have some fun cards to slow the pace a bit! Today, we have a sketch from Woodware USA, and it is a fun shaped card!! I made a very simple card this week, and I used a sentiment with these wonderful Ribbon Banners! They are the perfect accent or focal point to any card. I had a little issue with my cutter at the top, but I made it work. Sometimes, it is the simplest things that confound you! The card stock is Kraft and Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up, and the designer paper is called Ooo La La by My Mind's Eye. I used the Creative Memories circle cutting system to make the card, and the scalloped shape is Nestabilities. The small circles are punched with an SU punch, and the ribbon is crinkled in the background...not sure where in my travels I acquired that!

Woodware USA #41 - a 3-2-1 Challenge

This week's challenge at Woodware USA is a 3-2-1 challenge -- 3 papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 image. It was fun to get my creative groove on with this week's challenge! The paper is one of my favorites from My Mind's Eye -- Fine and Dandy. The set is from Woodware USA and it is called Ted in the Garden. I colored the image with Copic markers, then I cut the image with Nestabilities and sponged the edges to give it a bit of a frame. It is layered on Chocolate Chip cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The middle paper is cut with a border punch from Stampin' Up!
