Woodware USA Challenge #44 - A Sketch!!

Just another Manic Monday, and I'm raring to go!! Crazy, busy week ahead, but I have some fun cards to slow the pace a bit! Today, we have a sketch from Woodware USA, and it is a fun shaped card!! If you would like to adapt and attach the circular shape to a square card, that would be just fine! Upload your cards HERE and play along with us this week!

I made a very simple card this week, and I used a sentiment with these wonderful Ribbon Banners! They are the perfect accent or focal point to any card. I had a little issue with my cutter at the top, but I made it work. Sometimes, it is the simplest things that confound you! The card stock is Kraft and Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up, and the designer paper is called Ooo La La by My Mind's Eye. I used the Creative Memories circle cutting system to make the card, and the scalloped shape is Nestabilities. The small circles are punched with an SU punch, and the ribbon is crinkled in the background...not sure where in my travels I acquired that!

Thanks for stopping by today...can't wait to have you play along!

FBW162 A Little Inspiration for YOU!

I realize that I didn't use sunflowers in my card, but that is the beauty of an inspiration photo...you take whatever you want from it and use it as a jumping off point. Plus, I didn't have any sunflowers!!

I've used this amazing little image from Whimsy and Stars Studio. She is drawn by Mabelle RO (you'll recognize her from the TAC catalog), and you can buy this digi image straight from Mabelle HERE.

Our challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to use the picture below as inspiration for your project. It is a beautiful picture! Don't forget to include your butterfly, fairy, and/or angel on your creation! My butterflies are very small in the paper at the top of my card. However, they are there! Upload your card and see some other amazing samples HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Woodware USA Challenge #25 - A Color Combo

Well, finally, I have a new computer, and today is my first post using it!! Can I tell you that limbo really isn't fun! I've been without a computer for over a week, and I salvaged some of my things on it, but not all! Luckily, a lot of my digital images were backed up on either my external hard drive or stored in my email account. Thank goodness for that! However, I wasn't able to print out any of my digital images for over a week. A lot of catching up to do for me!! Anyway...

Our challenge this week at Woodware USA was a color combo -- blue, yellow, and brown. I love blue and yellow, but I wanted to throw the brown in as a little extra. And, a combo is born! If you would like to join us, you can upload your card HERE! We are looking for guest designers, so play along with us!

PTT11 April Showers

April Showers hopefully bring May flowers because we've had one heck of a ride here! Last week we had a wind storm that knocked down two trees, and a hail storm 5 days later that brought golf ball (even some tennis ball) size hail. And, there was torrential rain last night. What is going on? Well, I hope the May flowers are as vibrant as the ones on my card today! They will brighten any day, don't you think?

Our challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays is being sponsored by Glitterbabe Digis, and I was given these adorable rainboots! I couldn't resist! And, shouldn't all rain boots be fire engine red? YES! So, our theme this week is showers of all kinds! Upload your creations HERE! I have used the above sketch for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #112. It's a beauty, so check it out!

Recessed Window - Sugar Creek Hollow Fabulous Friday

A little pomp and circumstance for you today! Today is Fabulous Friday at Sugar Creek Hollow, and there is a glorious freebie today!! My Flutter By team mates and fans will love it! Check it out HERE. Our challenge this week was to create a recessed window card for you today, and I always love black, white and red. I was able to dust off come brads and neglected prima flowers!!
Last night we attended a wonderful graduation ceremony for our daughter. She is graduating from preschool and heading off to kindergarten in the fall. I will admit that I got a little choked up tonight...it was so amazing to see how much they have grown. And, they played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with hand bells. Well, that was just the ultimate to me...I loved it!!
When we put her to bed, she just started sobbing saying, "Am I ever going to see my teachers again?" That was a difficult question to answer. She bonded so much with her teachers, and I honestly think that God handpicks preschool teachers, and he did a glorious job with her teachers. I'm said that I won't see them anymore, too. Change is hard.
I hope you enjoy the graduation card, and don't forget to grab the freebie image at Sugar Creek Hollow. My team mates have some truly remarkable, knockout cards this week...give them a look!!
Card Details:
Stamps: Graduation by Sugar Creek Hollow
Paper: My Minds Eye DSP; Real Red and Basic Black by SU
Accessories: Nestabilities; primas; brads; CM circle cutter

It's a Fabulous Friday at Sugar Creek Hollow!

It's Fabulous Friday from Sugar Creek Hollow. You won't want to miss the precious freebie on the site today!! It's a cute one...I can't wait to play with it! My card today is using some wonderful paper from Cosmo Cricket that I picked up, and it really reminds me of the aged look of the door! I distressed the edges of the image, and I colored with Copic markers, and, gasp, I hand cut the image out!! You can't get a curve like that with anything else!! I also put this verse from Sugar Creek Hollow on the inside of the card:

Ask and it will be given to you;
Seek and you will find it;
Knock and the door will be opened for you.

Matthew 7:7

I don't normally dot he inside of the card, but this one needed to be included as it wouldn't fit on the outside of the card!

I hope you can take the time to visit my Sugar Creek Hollow team mates today...they put the FABULOUS in Fabulous Fridays!

FBW100 100 Butterflies, 100 Challenges!

Today is the day!! Flutter By Wednesday turns 100!! Can you believe it? It is amazing all of the countless creations that have been made and inspired by Flutter By Wednesdays! I'm so honored to be part of a team of amazing women who absolutely blow me away each week with their creativity. Danni, our fearless leader has to be one of the most thoughtful and kind people I know, and Wednesday is my favorite day because of her!

In honor of this week's 100th challenge, we all made our creations with butterflies because that is how this wonderful challenge was born. Butterflies are truly God's way of reminding us that miracles do happen.

We all chose to use a wonderful template from Brenda Quintana (QBee's Butterfly Large Box Template) that was suggested by our fabulous teammate Karen Wilson. We have been secretly corresponding without Danni's knowledge, so we hope this will surprise her!!
We would love for you to join us...just link up your creation HERE, and don't forget to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation.
This was a fun template to work with, and you will see that I have a lot of butterflies on here...well, 100 of them in fact. I had to go all out, didn't I? That was a lot of punching and cutting involved on this box, but it was all worth it. It's so springy, and I just needed the cheerfulness of the project! The butterflies poking out of the box are from a cute new set I bought from Woodware USA called Flutterbys (appropriately!). They have wonderful clear stamp sets!
Additional Challenges:
Paper Sundaes Challenge #8 - Color challenge (CTMH colors that I used the closest match) Rose Red, Certainly Celery, and Tempting Turquoise
Card Details:
Stamps: Flutterby Butterflies by Woodware USA
Paper: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Certainly Celery CS by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic markers; Prima flowers; rhinestone stickers; wooden skewers; Martha Stewart ribbon; Martha Stewart Butterfly punch; QBee Large Butterfly box template

Tart and Tangy Tuesday and a Mojo Monday

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I didn't post yesterday, but the final tally of cards on Sunday was 7 and a half. How do you get a half? Well, I have the image and the papers picked out and not completed! I did today's card on Sunday, and I actually finished my Sneak Peek cards for the Rusty Pickle Digital Delights release...you're going to be excited! I can't wait to show them to you! You will have to check back next week!!

Today, our lovely DT coordinator, Heather, issued us the challenge of using a color combination: Cameo Coral, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery. I was thrown by the Cameo Coral at first, but all is well! I used the Mojo Monday sketch #123 to do this week's Tart and Tangy Tuesday card!

Card Details:

A Whiff, A Copic, and a Stamp for the Weekend!!

Happy Thursday evening, y'all!! Methinks you have been seeing a lot of me lately! I guess that my crafty side has been rejuvenated. I can't seem to tear myself away from the craft room, and I have been doing challenges like a crazy woman. They really do tap into things in both my brain and my craft room that I forgot were there!!

The card today is actually for three challenges:

Copic Colour Challenge #48 - G21, B45, R85
Whiff of Joy Challenge #63 - a Whiff of Joy stamp and 3 patterned papers, 2 blings, and 1 flower
Stampin' For the Weekend Fiona's Sketch (seen below)

I actually used a paper pack that I had picked up at Tuesday Morning to do this sketch! Sometimes, I just love those huge packs with all of the coordinating papers, and they seemed to complement the Copics that I used. The best part was that it was a smokin' deal!! That is even better. However, my craft room seems to be filled with smokin' deals...they add up after a while (bows head in shame).

Card Details:
Stamps: Melinda Blowing Kisses by Whiff of Joy
Paper: atd Serendipity (not sure of manufacturer); Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic markers (pictured above); Basic Grey bling; Prima flower; glitter brad; SU oval and scalloped oval punches; SU rubons; Spica glitter pens

FBW92 Cute as a Bug

Hello, Flutter By Wednesday fans!! We were absolutely blown away by the response to our move last week!! I had such a good time visiting all of the blogs that participated. Can I just say, "WOW"!! It always amazes me how much talent we have out there!! Today is Flutter By Wednesday #92...how did we get all the way to 92? Our love of all things fluttering really makes it easy! This week, our challenge is an open one...just don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your card. Wouldn't it be a challenge to include all three on one? Anyway, I digress!

Don't you want to know what this lovely butterfly is doing here? It sure is pretty (or purty, depending on where y'all are from)!! Well, in order to find out, you have to go to the Flutter By Wednesday blog to find out. While you are there, read carefully and upload your creation if you have one! Believe me, it is well worth your while!!

I finally caved in to the peer pressure and purchased these fabulous stamps from CC Designs...they are just adorable and fun to color, of course. My card is also for the wonderful sketch (MTSC56) from Mercy HERE. I happened upon another challenge blog called Copic Buzz, and their challenge this week was to used pink and red. Well, isn't that appropriate!
Card Details:
Stamps: CC Designs GingerSnaps Buggaboos
Paper: Brenda Walton's Sweet Talk by K&Company; Going Gray by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Basic Grey ribbon; Prima Flowers; unknown brad; Pink Shimmerz; Copic Markers (N5, E00, E02, E25, E27, RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29)

Hey all you beautiful Flutter By babes, it's time to come out and play this week!! Today's challenge is an open one, and you just have to use a butterfly or fairy on your card and link it up HERE, so that we can all stop by and admire your art! I used this adorable image that I received from a Magnolia friend, and I had to dust off the Nestabilities (Labels Six). I just rotated the pattern to give a little interest, but then that bumped the card up to a 5.5x5.5 size! I've got a crazy day today with appointments and classes, but I did get this posted!! YAY!! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
