My late posts!! Partying with PTT

I'm afraid that I have to ask all of you for forgiveness. December is literally kicking my behind! I seem to barely be home, and my house is only about an eighth decorated for Christmas. I believe that this my be my craziest December on record! However, I'm trying to find some balance and not become stressed out! I refuse to act like Scrooge! That being said, I hope that all of you are enjoying the month. I'm also trying to remain centered and remember that we as a family are celebrating Jesus' birth, and that now is a perfect time to reflect on how we can share our time, talents, and bounty with those who go without.

My two above cards are for this week's and last week's (hangs head in shame) Party Time Tuesdays posts. They were featured on time on the blog, but craziness prevented me from posting them on here. We were so graciously sponsored by My Mind's Eye with a fantastic pack of paper this month. Aren't the colors gorgeous. And, we have amazing images from Paper Makeup and The Paper Shelter!! All of these sponsors are just wonderful people who make wonderful products! The last sponsor provided us with the lucious ribbon--3 Girl Jam, and the colors we were given were Holly Berry and Mistletoe! It's not too late to join in the fun and win some prizes at Party Time Tuesdays! You can enter your card HERE!

I will see you on Monday for Paper Pretties!!

PTT29 A fun sketch for you and 2 cards!!

This little cutie is from Chi Chi Memories and he is called Goodnight Babies...isn't he a cutie? I paper pieced him with some paper from Basic Grey. I then paired him with some old favorites from Stampin' Up -- Blue Bayou and Soft Sky! The ribbon is twisted to just give a different look, and the image where it is not paper pieced is colored with Copic markers.

This adorable image from The Paper Shelter is the image that I chose to focus my sketch card on! I had to tweak the image a bit to work with the materials I had, but I believe that you can see the basics of the sketch. This little cutie is called Sunny Day by The Paper Shelter. I used the new pennant builder die from Sizzix that is available through Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from Woodware USA, and I used all Stampin' Up paper for the card (Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette, and Pink Flamingo DSP). The image is colored with Copic markers, and the ribbon is a no name brand from Hobby Lobby. The sketch from Stacy is below.

Thanks for stopping by today...don't forget to visit the Party Time Tuesdays blog for more inspiration and information on the products and stamp lines represented here!

FBW141 Fairy Friends

We made it...halfway through the week! Despite the fact that there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow, I'm going to remain optimistic because it will be in the high 50s/low 60s next week. Crazy weather, huh?

Valentine's Day is creeping around the corner. I can't believe all of the Valentine's Day cards that I have made of late...I am not sure I even know that many people!!

Our challenge this week at the Flutter By Wednesday challenge was to use at least three hearts in our creation, but don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your project. I had colored this image, and I wanted to use it for today's card, so I found a great sketch this week -- the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #103 -- and I went for it. The designer paper is by Stampin' Up, but I'm not sure of the name because it came in a pack of miscellaneous paper from someone. The cardstock that I used was Cougar White for the image, Pretty in Pink and Basic Gray by Stampin' Up. The image is called Fairy Friends by Paper Makeup, and the hearts are cut from a punch made by Creative Memories. You can join us in the challenge this week by uploading your card HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mommy and Me Monday and a Little Paper Makeup!

Meredith, my 5 year old, has dubbed Mondays "Mommy and Me" days. We try to do the same things, stay in our pajamas as long as possible, make cards, cook, clean...everything (or as much as possible) together. It is one of our free days. This is her last year home before kindergarten, so I really enjoy this time as does she! She loves it when I post her creations on my blog, so I'm going to try to do it every Monday. I love the different things that she comes up with for cards...sometimes, she copies what I am doing, and other times, she strikes out on her own.

My card today is for Makeup for the Weekend #11 from Paper Makeup. I haven't done a challenge from PMS in a while, so I thought it was about time!! I love this little guy, Henry! He is a digi that I purchased and downloaded. I love the way he came out! I used Flower Soft "snow" to accent the edges!

Meredith always uses my PMS stamps...she loves them, and the monsters are her favorite. In fact, she gravitates toward Argus quite a bit! She likes to use my Liquid Applique, so she gave Argus some cool dots on his head, and don't you love her tie-dye effect? She ran this piece through the Cuttlebug all by herself, and she even trimmed the pink piece. She's getting better with the tools all the time. And, yes, I let her use my "special markers" aka Copics. She is really good with them, and I trust her with almost all of my craft supplies!

These are the Copics that I used to color the PMS image, and Meredith took some of the pictures today. I'm telling you, she amazes me at what she can do on the computer and with my camera!! Where do they pick this stuff up?

Card Details:
Stamps: Henry (my card) and Argus with Teddy (Meredith's card) by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Night of Navy CS and DSP by Stampin' Up (my card); Bazzill and Rich Razzleberry CS by SU (Meredith's card)
Ink: Memento on Meredith's card and printer ink on mine
Accessories (my card): Martha Stewart snowflake punch; SU 1/4 inch circle punch; Nestabilities; letter tiles; Flower Soft snow; Copic and spica glitter pens; Glue dots
Accessories (Meredith's card): buttons; Rich Razzleberry ribbon by SU; Candy Cane stripe embossing folder by Cuttlebug; American Girl music note punch

Meredith's Card Debut FBW75

Good morning, Flutter By Wednesday fans!! Sorry I'm a little late this morning, but as you can see, there are two cards to show today!! Danni's challenge this week was to use sparkle on our cards (along with a fairy or butterfly also!), and she had her children, Annabelle and Matthew, be the guest designers. Well, when Meredith heard this, she said, "can I be a designer?" How can you say no to that? So, she made her card (before me, I might add!), and here it is today! If you would like to play along, there are prizes involved all month in honor of Danni's birthday. I just love celebrating all month long! Just link your creation up to Mr. Linky HERE, and we can't wait to see your creations!! My card is also for the Mojo104 sketch this week!!

Everybody's Going off the Deep End...

because they're stampin' for the weekend!! Quick post for me because I am headed out of town until tomorrow! While our girls were at Gymboree yesterday, Dawn and I made these pocket cards for the challenge. I used Baja Breeze and Kraft, and she used Pink Pirouette and Kraft. We both used the same plan and Paper Makeup Stamps.

Here Comes the Bride

A wedding card with no recipient in mind...that doesn't always happen, but this time it did!
I usually make my cards for the fun of it, then I use them when I need them, so no worries! This is another triple challenge card. It is for the Midnight Madness Sketch #7, Color Throwdown #48, and for my first challenge at 365 Cards (Day 112). Color Throwdown is one of my favorites, and the Midnight Madness sketch is becoming one of my new favorites! I love a good challenge!
We have a little bit of a lazy morning this morning, so I can take my time to post. Blogger is doing weird things again, apparently for everyone. A very happy birthday wish to Katie Cotton of Paper Makeup Stamps!!

I'm still so shocked by all of the news this past week. Three highly iconic figures all die in one week. Incredible. I was a teenager during the 80s, so Michael Jackson was very much a part of my life. And, can I just say, his songs are really fun to tap dance to! I was a Charlie's Angels fan, too. So, a farewell to Ed, Farrah, and Michael.

Card Details:
Stamps: Mary by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Pink Pirouette cardstock and DSP, Baja Breeze CS and DSP, and Kraft by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Bride's Flowers; Love and Happiness Rubons by SU; Colorbok rhinestone stickers; CM oval cutters

I love Purple!

Purple is my favorite color, and when I saw the challenge on Stamp Something from this week that is sponsored by PMS, I knew I had to use purple! The challenge is black and white and another color. Then, what a perfect opportunity to ink up my PMS stamps. Lucky for me, the PMS blog had a fabulous sketch this week, and Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays had a challenge to use bling. A ha moment...combine them all! I feel like such a multi-tasker when I can do that! I wish I could multi-task in more areas of my life! This is rather funny about this image...I've done it in purple before, and I didn't realize it until after I had already finished it! This time, I used Shimmerz on her shoes...who doesn't love sparkly shoes? Unfortunately, it doesn't show up as well in the picture, but I can live with it!

I'm so excited about this weekend! My friend Dawn and I get to travel to Durham for Copic certification. I know I have mentioned it before, but I am just so excited not only for the class but also to get away for just a little while. I also think we will stop at the Archivers in Raleigh because it is the closest one, and I've only been once. Luckily, they are open later on Saturdays.

Card Details:
Stamps: Lily by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Lovely Lilac DSP and Basic Black by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Royal Purple and Angel Wings Shimmerz; Little Yellow Bicycle Brads; Ribbon; Primas
Copics: R00, R01, R20, E41, Y32, E31, E37, E25, BV11, BV13

FBW #63 I Really Want ICE CREAM!!

Hello, Flutter By girls!! I'm so happy to see you! It's been a crazy week, but I took some "me" time to create my card this week!! I was finally able to ink up one of my cards that I ordered from Faerie Art Song stamps...I can't believe that I got as many stamps as I did on one sheet! This one was especially cute, and it reminded me of the challenge this week! Fortunately, or unfortunately, in my moment of inspiration for the card this week, I somehow missed a detail! I for some reason read summery card, but the challenge was actually Spring Fever/create an outdoorsy card (a big thanks to Kimmie). Of course, I did the obligatory hand slap against the forehead, and a big "duh" came out! Well, let's see if we can work this out. I thought she was looking longingly at the ice cream cones. And, we all know that we have to go out in warm weather and outdoors to order an ice cream cone (even fairies!). Oh well, I tried!! And, she is a fairy, so I'm in the ball park! The one thing I loved about this is that she looks guilty when she is eyeing something, and what better to feel guilty about than ice cream!!

So sorry for the confusion. Please visit my other team members' blogs for more Flutter By inspiration. Wednesday is a day I look forward to because I have so many wonderful blogs to visit! When you make your creation, please be sure to link it on Danni's blog using Mr. Linky!

The set above the card is a new one that is going to be released by The Greeting Farm on July 1st, and Jessica Deidrich designed it for them. She is super excited, and she is offering it free to one lucky winner on her blog!! I love butterfly sentiments...what a perfect accent to all of our wonderful butterfly stamps!!
Card Details:
Stamps: Sweet Delights by Valarie Wade for Faerie Art Song Stamps; sentiment by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Cupcake by Basic Grey; Pacific Point and Pixie Pink by Stampin' Up
Ink: Palette Noir

It's a Two Challenge Kind of Day-FBW61 and MOJO90

Hello, ladies!! Here I am apologizing again for being so sparse in my posting. Things are starting to settle down a bit, but I still feel buried! Today is another busy day, but I'm hanging in there! We are leaving this Friday morning to drive to Pittsburgh for my husband's family reunion. It will be a quick trip, but Meredith is looking forward to going to play with and meet her cousins! I haven't been stamping as much, but this card got me back in the groove. I have also been coloring a bunch of Magnolia images because I have 7 raining cards to make this month...lots and lots! So, I bet you'll be seeing lots of Magnolia cards!! Anyway, on to the real reason you came!!

Flutter By Wednesday #61 is here!! Our challenge this week is to use a butterfly and/or fairy on a card in conjunction with any sketch of our choosing! I chose this week's Mojo Monday sketch #90. I did take a little creative license with it, but that is the beauty of a sketch...do what you want with it! Go to Danni's blog to see all the creations and post your card through Mr. Linky. We have a featured team member this week, and it is Lelia. She has such beautiful creations on her blog and a kind spirit...please leave her some love! And, the rest of the team, listed on the left side of my blog would truly appreciate your love...they all really knocked it out of the park last week, so I can't wait to visit everyone and see! Wednesdays are kind of like Christmas once a week!!

Here is my entry for another SOA contest called Any Winged Thing (PMSSOA), and it is sponsored by one of my favorite people, Katie Cotton and her company Paper Makeup Stamps. In addition, I also used some new Wisteria paper, and it is really is beautiful!!
Short post today as we have a million and one things going on: a makeup swim lesson, straight to ballet/tap class, lunch and then Gymboree school. YIKES!! I hope I pack everything that I am supposed to for this!

Blossom, the Dino Diva

The challenge at Paper Makeup Stamps (PMSMC12) this week was to use the colors Apple Green and Watermelon Slice, taken from two paint samples. Well, I came up with using Gable Green and Regal Rose (with a little Rose Red thrown in) from Stampin' Up. I didn't want to color Bronto by Paper Makeup in the usual brown/gray tones, so why not pink? I chose Rose Red (R85) by Copic and away I went. I knew that a flower was a must and a friend suggested the pearls! What a combination! This is the most diva looking dinosaur I have ever encountered!!

In case you missed the announcement, there is a new challenge blog on the horizon. The Next Level will launch on June 1st, and it is promising to be a multi-faceted challenge blog, and I can't wait! There are never enough challenges for this challenge junky!! In addition, they are offering blog candy for their launch. Check out their blog and spread the word!!

Card details:

Stamps: Bronto by Paper Makeup Stamps; sentiment is computer generated
Paper: Sultry by Basic Grey; Gable Green, Regal Rose, and Rose Red by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
