FBW185 Say Goodbye to the Winter Blahs!!

And, say hello to some sunshine!! I just couldn't resist this awesome paper in the background from Basic Grey from their Bittersweet line! It is bright and cheerful, and couple that with some blinding glitter ribbon, and you can help but have a sunny disposition!

Our challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to get rid of the winter blahs and inject some bright colors into your card! It's amazing what a little "sunshine" can do, even if it is manufactured! If you would like to play along with us this week, please upload your card HERE!
And, as always, don't forget to include a butterfly, angel, or fairy on your creations!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

FBW171 Whimsy and Stars!!

Hey everyone!! We have more celebrating at Flutter By Wednesday this week! Remember, that we are celebrating Danni's birthday all month long, and you are the ones who benefit, even more than the design team!! And, that is hard to beat! Also, the challenges for this entire month are OPEN, so what are you waiting for? Hop on over HERE to enter your card today! Please don't forget, like I did, to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation.

We have two wonderful sponsors this week -- Whimsy and Stars and Tiddly Inks! You can't beat the cuteness of either of these companies.

In addition, we have a wonderful guest joining us this week at FBW -- Amy Young! Please pop on over and say hi to her!!

I have used the above sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #134 for my card today!
********************

On a personal note -- I have to apologize and explain my absence of late. In the immediate few days, I've been fighting an awful cold, and it seems to cloud everything. Being supermom is the only thing I've been able to somewhat maintain! LOL! This past summer and now early fall, I have been heavily involved with my daughter's school on their PTO Board. While I absolutely love volunteering, it has consumed a lot of my time and energy. In addition, I'm a Girl Scout leader to a troop of 16 girls, and of course, that is ramping up as well! So, please bear with me as I navigate this new normal. I feel busier now than I did when I was working full time!! Who would have thought...

Whimsy and Stars

I have a couple of Whimsy and Stars cards to share with you today! I just love these images, and they are so amazing to work with! You all know I love cute, and these can't get any cuter! I don't always make yellow and blue combination cards, but I just had to with this image! I colored the image called "Best Friends" first, and I knew that one of the little girls would have to be blond and dressed in blue and yellow! And, of course, there is always my favorite color -- purple -- to set things off! The paper that I used is from the Brights pack of designer series paper from Stampin' Up. The cardstock colors are Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight (hands down, my all time favorite yellow!) The shapes are cut with Nestabilities, and I added a bow in Daffodil Delight satin ribbon using my Bow Easy.

My second card is from the Freebie challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center (CDAC), and Mabelle gave away this free image, so that we could all play along with the challenge! It is a beautiful floral image, and it too was fun to work with! I also used Daffodil Delight on this card, but the photograph makes it look more muted! The paper is from Basic Grey, and I also included Rich Razzleberry. I used Nestabilities to cut out the image! The ribbon buckle is from Stampin' Up and so is the border punch used on the panel.

Check out Mabelle RO's Whimsy and Stars Etsy store HERE for fabulous digital images!

Thanks for stopping by today! I always appreciate the visit!

FBW162 A Little Inspiration for YOU!

I realize that I didn't use sunflowers in my card, but that is the beauty of an inspiration photo...you take whatever you want from it and use it as a jumping off point. Plus, I didn't have any sunflowers!!

I've used this amazing little image from Whimsy and Stars Studio. She is drawn by Mabelle RO (you'll recognize her from the TAC catalog), and you can buy this digi image straight from Mabelle HERE.

Don't forget to include your butterfly, fairy, and/or angel on your creation! My butterflies are very small in the paper at the top of my card. However, they are there! Upload your card and see some other amazing samples HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Haircut, cupcake, and lunch (not necessarily in that order, but maybe so!). Today at Flutter By Wednesday we have an open challenge -- just don't forget to include your butterfly, fairy, or angel on your project. I almost forgot to add my butterflies, but there they are resplendent in yellow! My image today is a new one that I purchased from Whimsy and Stars Studio, and the Etsy store is owned and all of the images designed by Mabelle RO! They are awesome. I first encountered her images in The Angel Company catalog, and I was so surprised to see that I could buy her other designs in digital form from her (thanks to the enabling of Michelle, Danni, and Jackie!) I adore cuteness, and her designs just overflow with CUTE!!
