FBW110 - A Flowery Fairy

Flowers, flowers, EVERYWHERE! Our theme this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to use flowers on your card along with your fairy, butterfly, or angel. Kris suggested this fun theme!! I received this image from a friend (thanks Danni), and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. I'm glad that I found her because the size of her wings was perfect, and I love how they popped up on the card. I used Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz on them, and the sparkle is just right. The color of the prima flowers looked much better at 9 pm last night than it does in the light of day, so I apologize for that!! The designer paper is from American Crafts, and I purchased it from Paper Source, a fun store we have here in Charlotte!

FBW104 - The Butterfly that Sparkles...

When I heard that the images that we were using this week were from Stef aka Glitterbabe, well, I knew my card had to be bold, bright, and of course, SPARKLY!! Here it is in all of its glory! She has a wonderful etsy shop--Glitterbabe Greetings--and one lucky participant will win 2 images from her shop!! All you need to do is create a new card using a butterfly, fairy, or angel and link it up HERE for your chance to win!! Doesn't get any easier than that, does it?
It's been a little quiet here at Southern Yankee Crafter...I just needed a breather! There are some major landscaping needs outside, so we (my hubby, daughter, and I) have been spending a lot of time outside since last Thursday. And, of course, the pollen is taking its toll on me. Needless to say, my crafting has taken a little bit of a back seat. However, I'm back in the groove, and I'll be back with posts this week and back to commenting! I've been itching to use some new stamps!!
I'd love for you to check out the other Flutter By Wednesday team members' blogs to see their awesome butterfly creations!

FBW #63 I Really Want ICE CREAM!!

Hello, Flutter By girls!! I'm so happy to see you! It's been a crazy week, but I took some "me" time to create my card this week!! I was finally able to ink up one of my cards that I ordered from Faerie Art Song stamps...I can't believe that I got as many stamps as I did on one sheet! This one was especially cute, and it reminded me of the challenge this week! Fortunately, or unfortunately, in my moment of inspiration for the card this week, I somehow missed a detail! I for some reason read summery card, but the challenge was actually Spring Fever/create an outdoorsy card (a big thanks to Kimmie). Of course, I did the obligatory hand slap against the forehead, and a big "duh" came out! Well, let's see if we can work this out. I thought she was looking longingly at the ice cream cones. And, we all know that we have to go out in warm weather and outdoors to order an ice cream cone (even fairies!). Oh well, I tried!! And, she is a fairy, so I'm in the ball park! The one thing I loved about this is that she looks guilty when she is eyeing something, and what better to feel guilty about than ice cream!!

So sorry for the confusion. Please visit my other team members' blogs for more Flutter By inspiration. Wednesday is a day I look forward to because I have so many wonderful blogs to visit! When you make your creation, please be sure to link it on Danni's blog using Mr. Linky!

The set above the card is a new one that is going to be released by The Greeting Farm on July 1st, and Jessica Deidrich designed it for them. She is super excited, and she is offering it free to one lucky winner on her blog!! I love butterfly sentiments...what a perfect accent to all of our wonderful butterfly stamps!!

Everything and Everyone's Blooming!

Good morning! I'm still recovering from the Paper Makeup Stamps Release Party...everything was so rapid-fire on the forum last night, that I literally sat at the computer for 2 hours. I even missed Grey's Anatomy (well, I watched it later, but you know!). I had to be part of the excitement, and it was exciting! I'll be working on the challenges in the next few days...who can stamp while chained to the computer?

This is my card for the May Rain ladies in my Magnolia-licious group! I was so late with my April cards that I vowed to get these done and in the mail, and I succeeded yesterday! This is an image that I received, so I am unsure of the exact name of this Tilda...I searched both the US store and the Swedish store, and I didn't unearth her. So, if you know her name, leave it in the comments, so I can give her proper credit! I always try to move Heaven and Earth to give the right name to something if I can! However, I'm at a loss for this one!

We have a busy weekend ahead, so I'm not sure how much stamping that I will get done! Strawberry picking Saturday morning, date night Saturday night, and then Mother's Day festivities on Sunday. Should be fun...hopefully the weather holds out!

Thanks for stopping by today...I truly appreciate all who look and support me!
