Today we have a Monday challenge that is really fun--using 3 or more layers! You can see some of my layers, but some are a little more subtle. I paper pieced and popped up the signs and the turtle's head in my card. In addition, I also used the sketch from this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

How do you like that tongue twister - Paper Pretties paper piecing and piercing! Wow, now that is a mouthful! We are pulling out those piercing tools or you can do some paper piecing! That is a fun little twist! I chose to do some paper piercing by going around the image and adding in some hearts (one is hiding behind that ribbon)! I just love this little guy!

I also have last week's card because I was called out of town. My mom had some heart issues suddenly, and she spent 5 days in cardiac ICU...those were some scary days for both her and the rest of my family, so cardmaking and blogging took a back seat! I still wanted to share the cute card that I made for our stripe themed challenge last week!

Will You Be Mine? That is the question! This week at Paper Pretties our Monday challenge is to make a Valentine's Day card! And, I have pulled out all the hearts, I mean stops! This little cutie is called Q-pig, and he is ready and well-aimed! The sentiment is one of three that will complement this little guy!
It's just another Manic Monday!! Busy week ahead...I hope this doesn't become me at the end of the week!! Welcome to another challenge at Paper Pretties! Our challenge this week is to make a Get Well Soon card...I often don't have one of these on hand, and sometimes it doesn't fit the bill! This one is a cute little image called Sick Puppy...awwww...don't you just want to give him a big squeeze so he feels better? 
What a way to start off the new year! A clean and simple card with a hip-shaking Zumba hippo!! It doesn't get better than that!! I actually used an earlier sentiment to go with my lovable Hippo, so these sentiments are very versatile! And, you have to love Simmons the mouse with his hoard of junk food! Boy, I've had my fill of that lately! So, it's time to dust off the sneakers, hunt for the food scale, and whip our bodies back into shape for 2012! Swimsuit season isn't that far off! 
Has everyone recovered from Christmas? We had a really low-key day yesterday! We woke up at 7, Meredith was done opening presents at 7:20, and we were off to church by 8:15. When we arrived home around 10 or so, it was just the beginning of the laziness of the day! I love days like that!
