PTT11 April Showers

April Showers hopefully bring May flowers because we've had one heck of a ride here! Last week we had a wind storm that knocked down two trees, and a hail storm 5 days later that brought golf ball (even some tennis ball) size hail. And, there was torrential rain last night. What is going on? Well, I hope the May flowers are as vibrant as the ones on my card today! They will brighten any day, don't you think?

Our challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays is being sponsored by Glitterbabe Digis, and I was given these adorable rainboots! I couldn't resist! And, shouldn't all rain boots be fire engine red? YES! So, our theme this week is showers of all kinds! Upload your creations HERE! I have used the above sketch for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #112. It's a beauty, so check it out!
Card Details:

Paper: June Bug by Basic Grey; Daffodil Delight and Basic Black by SU

FBW141 Fairy Friends

We made it...halfway through the week! Despite the fact that there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow, I'm going to remain optimistic because it will be in the high 50s/low 60s next week. Crazy weather, huh?

Valentine's Day is creeping around the corner. I can't believe all of the Valentine's Day cards that I have made of late...I am not sure I even know that many people!!

Our challenge this week at the Flutter By Wednesday challenge was to use at least three hearts in our creation, but don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your project. I had colored this image, and I wanted to use it for today's card, so I found a great sketch this week -- the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #103 -- and I went for it. The designer paper is by Stampin' Up, but I'm not sure of the name because it came in a pack of miscellaneous paper from someone. The cardstock that I used was Cougar White for the image, Pretty in Pink and Basic Gray by Stampin' Up. The image is called Fairy Friends by Paper Makeup, and the hearts are cut from a punch made by Creative Memories. You can join us in the challenge this week by uploading your card HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Pretties Monday Whatnots - Tuesday Edition

It's Tuesday, and it's time for the Tuesday of edition of the Paper Pretties Monday Whatnots! We get to create with some of the most fabulous digital images that are quirky and fun! Today, I got a little bow happy! I had to include bows on both of my projects. The above card uses the image PuRRRty Girl by ARTish for Paper Pretties. I have used all paper and ribbon from Stampin' Up in this card. I have used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Pink Pirouette, and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The ribbon is the same two colors. I colored the image with Copic markers, cut it out, and mounted it on Pink Pirouette paper embossed with a Quickutz folder and cut out with Nestabilities. Add some bling, and we are good to go!

Challenges for this card:
  • Do it With Digis - Challenge #2 - Pink and girly

How do you like my buddy Truffles! I love that he is sitting there eating a very appealing looking box of chocolates! I used Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler as my cardstock colors, and the designer paper is by K&Company from two Valentine's Days ago. The image is cut out using the heart Nestie and mounted on the scalloped heart. The ribbon is pink satin ribbon from Stampin' Up.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

You can view the rest of my design teams' creations HERE on the Paper Pretties blog!

And, did you know that Paper Pretties has a forum...if you join, there are some free digital images to be had!! Check it out HERE.

Paper Piecing, Penguins, and Possibly...

The most glitter and bling EVER!!

This week’s challenge for Woodware USA is to use GLITTER and BLING in your creations. Well, sometimes I feel like I came out of the womb destined to be glittery! And, the way I find little specks all over my house, I think that I still haven’t lost my glitz!

I have used the adorable set—Penguin Fun for my card today, and it is a fun one! I also coupled it with some marvelous Christmas paper from My Mind’s Eye. I’ve also greatly distressed as many edges as I could! We hope that you will join us and play along!!

In addition, I am entering the above card into two challenges this week:

Next, I have my card from last week’s challenge—paper piecing. My usual day to post was this past Saturday, but I decided to just run the two together. If I could have paper pieced the girl’s skin, I would have. Everything else is paper-pieced using Green at Heart by Basic Grey. I just love that paper, and I was able to use my scraps on this one! The cardstock colors are Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry by Stampin’ Up. I used an EK Success border punch and some SU ribbon and punches.

A close up of my paper piecing frenzy...please excuse the smudge! In my haste, I didn't look closely at my fingers!

School Treats from Woodware USA!!

Happy Saturday...it's another project feature from Woodware USA! This week's challenge was to bring you a treat package to be put in a child's lunch box! I used the criss cross box that was available free from Nichole Heady from Papertrey Ink a while back. The pattern is super easy to follow, and it makes a nice treat holder for a small bag of cookies or candy! I've used the School Tots set from Woodware USA. The sentiment "School Days" fits so nicely right inside the apple that I just had to do it!! The paper is Riding Hood Red designer paper and cardstock, and it is paired with Night of Navy. I used the 1 inch, 1 3/8 inch, and 1 1/2 inch circle punches for the sentiment. The ribbon is also Stampin' Up.

Visit the Woodware USA blog for daily inspiration and samples using these super cute stamps!!
My second project today is also school-related, and it uses the adorable School Days set from Pure Innocence by My Favorite Things. I used this week's SSSC82 sketch, but I missed the deadline to post. This is the kind of week that I have had. We are still adjusting to our new schedule...who would have thought it could be so hard! The designer paper is from June Bug by Basic Grey, and the black cardstock is from Stampin' Up. I have also entered this card and treat box into the Stamp Something challenge this week--Back to School Something.
Thanks for stopping by today...hopefully, I will be back into the full swing of things very soon!

Sunday Stamping: Out of the Doldrums

I've been in a dry spell for the past week or so. I'm sure it was a combination of upheaval in my upstairs and stamp room and some things going on in the family, but today was my day! And, I think I unblocked myself. I've made 6 cards today...you'll see the others this week coming up! It's good to just go with it when you have the right ideas in your head, so I did!! Meredith has either been stamping and coloring with me or with her daddy at the pool. Thank goodness he knew I needed the "time" to create!

Also, I finally inked up my first Kraftin' Kimmie stamp...I've had them for over 2 months, but this is the first time I used them. And, can I just say, that the Angry Ballerina cracks me up! I'd be upset if I had to dress up in a pig costume, too!

The first card is for two challenges:
The second card is also from a stamp set that hasn't seen ink, but it's been almost a year since I bought this one. This particular image reminded me so much of my daughter and making brownies that I had to buy it!! The image is from Crafty Secrets.

The second card is for this week's Cupcake Inspirations challenge #71 found HERE. It was fun, and it of course made me hungry!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! I really appreciate your visit!

The Bella Love Fest Continues!!

I've been a busy girl today...I may need a drink after today!! I've made 3 cards, and I have the 4th one in the works. Will I make it to 5??? Who knows!! Meredith and I have been busy in the craft room, and she had colored 3 images so far to use, and she made an adorable card that I will post tomorrow!

Danni came up with the idea to use our Bellas this weekend (and she hinted about Magnolias next weekend), and we've been taking her seriously!

Join in on the fun...great way to use some neglected stamps and supplies! I've had this martini charm for I don't know how long, and I finally got to use it!! Yippee!!

The above card is another Bella stamp that I borrowed from my friend Angie. I called her this morning with a crafting emergency (yes, they do exist). For the Paper Sundaes challenge, you needed lace. Well, let me tell you...for a girl who makes cards, scrapbooks, and quilts...I didn't have any lace in this house. None. Nada. Zilch. Until I remembered this paper lace that came with a K&Company paper line. Saved. And, Angie actually had lace if I needed it!
