Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland...

...on a sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow! I have combined two of this year's winter releases from Sugar Creek Hollow. I love that I have finally figured out how to "layer" items in my photo editing software. It was definitely a "DUH" moment on my part!! However, here it is!! The fruits of my labor, so to speak! Our challenge this week was to include lace on our card, and this could be either real lace or faux lace. Well, I have plenty of real lace, so I decided to embellish this circle a bit. It sure did add some texture! Also, I have included some of the lovely crinkly ribbon that Tracy sells in the Sugar Creek Hollow store...I'm addicted to it! Talk about adding texture! Thanks for stopping by today...you will love the creations from my other team mates! Check out my list on the left sidebar!
Card Details:
Paper: Graphic 45 designer paper; Riding Hood Red and Kraft by Stampin' Up
Ink: Close to Cocoa to sponge edges
Accessories: Copic markers; Creative Memories cutting system; lace; Crinkly ribbon

It’s Monday…where did the weekend go? Sorry my post is a bit late, but I battled a migraine last night, and it won, so I hit my bed at an unprecedented time for me…8:00! I’m better now, but I’m battling that lovely headache hangover.

This week’s challenge at Woodware USA is to use Halloween colors. How fitting, right? I was also able to use an adorable set called Wizardry! It has many different sayings and images, and it doesn’t have to be used solely for Halloween. Check it out HERE. Don’t forget that you can still get your two free Inky Link stamp pads with any purchase from Woodware USA. Tell your friends!! Hop on over to the Woodware USA design team blog for more inspiration!

Sheparding a Sensational Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday!

Saturdays, as you know, are utterly sensational at Sugar Creek Hollow. We were challenged to use one of two digital images this week. It was either this primitive sheep or Christmas Cardinal, which I used a couple of weeks ago. This was a fun image to work with. I actually printed it out twice on both white and kraft cardstock. I then cut out the body and layered it on the kraft paper. I used black liquid applique to give some texture to the sheep's fur. I printed it out a third time and popped up the heart. I used Stickles to give it a little sparkle!

I used the new Labels 16 from Nestabilties (a current favorite!), and I topped it off with some fun lace!! The sentiment is my own from my computer...a little cheeky, but it was fun, and I thought it went well with the card!! The red is Riding Hood Red from Stampin' Up. Thanks for stopping by today...I hope that you are enjoying the crisp fall air! See you soon!

It’s Monday, and we have a treat for you!! This week’s challenge for our Woodware USA design team is ANYTHING BUT A CARD! This really is a challenge for me each time that we do it. I get into the card rut, so I seldom venture out into the world of “other things.” Today, I did!

I have a box that came in a pack of six from Martha Stewart Crafts. It is designed to hold treats (brownies, bars, cookies, etc.), so I decided to jazz it up a bit. I tend to give more treats around the holidays, so I made this for Christmas. I kept the stamping simple, but I loved that I could assemble the phrase “we wish you a Merry Christmas” through stamps in the set called Traditional Christmas Greetings. It is a great all purpose set, and it gives you a large amount of greetings, both religious and secular.

I used a set of paper from My Mind’s Eye called Colorful Christmas, and it is adorable…so glad that I had some left over from last year because this box took up a lot! The box is almost 9 inches square, and the depth is 2 ½ inches. The ribbon is Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon from Stampin’ Up.

See you tomorrow!! Tuesday is always a party, so check back for my Party Time Tuesdays card!!

It's Saturday again, and we have a color challenge for you this week at Sugar Creek Hollow. The colors are: River Rock, Early Espresso, and Baja Breeze. A fun color combo that I haven't used myself before. I used this wonderful tag as my image, and I love the little scene that it depicts...reminds me of home in the winters. I hope you enjoy your weekend...it is finally Fall here in the Carolinas!

FBW126 Trick or Treat

Yay...it's WEDNESDAY! And, that means that it is time for Flutter By Wednesday! Today's challenge is to use a fall theme in your card, but don't forget the butterfly, fairy or angel (the most important part!) Upload your card HERE. I bought this adorable fairy from Paper Pretties a couple of weeks ago, and I was finally able to ink it up! She is a cutie! I also used my Martha Stewart border punch with bats on the card. It is a bit lost in all of the detail, but you at least get some cool cute little bats as excess paper! Slap some mono on them, and voila, another embellishment. That is a true testament to how I hate to throw things away! And, I'm excited about my watermark...can you believe that I have one? And, I was able to use it!! (pats herself on back).
