Woodware USA Challenge #7 - Anything Goes

Wow, I survived Christmas!! Barely!! We got a little snowy surprise on Christmas night, so Sunday was spent playing in the snow. That is a novelty here in Charlotte, NC, but it is nice when it only lasts a day or two. Having grown up near Buffalo, NY, snow usually lasted from Halloween until Easter, so it was easy to get sick of the white stuff!

Today's challenge at Woodware USA is Anything Goes, and I have chosen to use my set called Birdsong from Woodware USA on my card. I actually used vellum and did embossing on my card--two things that hadn't been used for a long time! We would love for you to join us this week! Remember that if you play along, you will be entered into our monthly drawing to win a Woodware USA set. If you use a Woodware USA set in your creation, you will be given an extra entry. Upload your creation HERE to play along!

Card Details:
Stamps: Birdsong by Woodware USA
Paper: Vellum, Gold Shimmer, and Early Espresso by Stampin' Up
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Copic markers; Judykins embossing powder; Martha Stewart ribbon; Bow Easy

Paper: Deck the Halls DSP by SU; Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede by SU

Woodware USA Challenge #6 - Gettin' Sketchy!

I decided to go very low-tech with designing the sketch this week for Woodware USA's challenge. Check out the details and enter your card HERE. I actually constructed the sketch in a word processing program, but initially I had difficulty translating it into a picture. So, I just decided to make the sketch out of cardstock and take a picture of it. Well, one of our more high tech designers (Kerry) on our Woodware team was able to translate it for me, but I had already done this one. So, this week, we will be old-fashioned!! And, this is my first official sketch that I have designed...woohoo!!

I have used the Deck the Halls designer paper from Stampin' Up along with Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler. The stamp set is Holly Swirls by Woodware USA, and I finally was able to ink it up! It is a beautiful set! The sentiment is also Woodware USA, and it is Traditional Christmas Greetings. I used Copic markers to color the image and Nestabilities to cut the scalloped ovals!

Check back tomorrow for my Party Time Tuesdays card!

SCH Believe in Santa Claus

Greetings all!! I tried to use one of the digis from Sugar Creek Hollow that I hadn't used yet. That was our challenge this week, and I had a lot of fun with the ones that I chose. We are going to be taking a two week break for the holidays, but we will be back January 8th with some fresh designs for you!

I used the Christmas Plaque to make a background paper, and I printed it out on a piece of Basic Grey Mistletoe and Pear. I mounted it on Basic Black, and the card base is Riding Hood Red. I then printed out the Santa Claus card on Riding Hood Red, cut it down, and rounded the corners. I added black pearls to the tips of the letters. I printed the "Believe" sentiment (my absolute favorite) on Riding Hood Red and used my small oval punch from Stampin' Up and mounted it on the next highest size of punch. I finished off the look with silver pearls in the corner and a faux bow on the bottom. The Santa bingo card is from a set from October Afternoon that I purchased recently at Archivers. My little Santa in the background is a Swedish Santa candle holder...isn't he cute?

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and the most blessed New Year!
