FBW92 Cute as a Bug

Hello, Flutter By Wednesday fans!! We were absolutely blown away by the response to our move last week!! I had such a good time visiting all of the blogs that participated. Can I just say, "WOW"!! It always amazes me how much talent we have out there!! Today is Flutter By Wednesday #92...how did we get all the way to 92? Our love of all things fluttering really makes it easy! This week, our challenge is an open one...just don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your card. Wouldn't it be a challenge to include all three on one? Anyway, I digress!

Don't you want to know what this lovely butterfly is doing here? It sure is pretty (or purty, depending on where y'all are from)!! Well, in order to find out, you have to go to the Flutter By Wednesday blog to find out. While you are there, read carefully and upload your creation if you have one! Believe me, it is well worth your while!!

I finally caved in to the peer pressure and purchased these fabulous stamps from CC Designs...they are just adorable and fun to color, of course. My card is also for the wonderful sketch (MTSC56) from Mercy HERE. I happened upon another challenge blog called Copic Buzz, and their challenge this week was to used pink and red. Well, isn't that appropriate!
Card Details:
Stamps: CC Designs GingerSnaps Buggaboos
Paper: Brenda Walton's Sweet Talk by K&Company; Going Gray by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Basic Grey ribbon; Prima Flowers; unknown brad; Pink Shimmerz; Copic Markers (N5, E00, E02, E25, E27, RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29)

Mommy and Me Monday and a Little Paper Makeup!

Meredith, my 5 year old, has dubbed Mondays "Mommy and Me" days. We try to do the same things, stay in our pajamas as long as possible, make cards, cook, clean...everything (or as much as possible) together. It is one of our free days. This is her last year home before kindergarten, so I really enjoy this time as does she! She loves it when I post her creations on my blog, so I'm going to try to do it every Monday. I love the different things that she comes up with for cards...sometimes, she copies what I am doing, and other times, she strikes out on her own.

My card today is for Makeup for the Weekend #11 from Paper Makeup. I haven't done a challenge from PMS in a while, so I thought it was about time!! I love this little guy, Henry! He is a digi that I purchased and downloaded. I love the way he came out! I used Flower Soft "snow" to accent the edges!

Meredith always uses my PMS stamps...she loves them, and the monsters are her favorite. In fact, she gravitates toward Argus quite a bit! She likes to use my Liquid Applique, so she gave Argus some cool dots on his head, and don't you love her tie-dye effect? She ran this piece through the Cuttlebug all by herself, and she even trimmed the pink piece. She's getting better with the tools all the time. And, yes, I let her use my "special markers" aka Copics. She is really good with them, and I trust her with almost all of my craft supplies!

These are the Copics that I used to color the PMS image, and Meredith took some of the pictures today. I'm telling you, she amazes me at what she can do on the computer and with my camera!! Where do they pick this stuff up?

Card Details:
Stamps: Henry (my card) and Argus with Teddy (Meredith's card) by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Night of Navy CS and DSP by Stampin' Up (my card); Bazzill and Rich Razzleberry CS by SU (Meredith's card)
Ink: Memento on Meredith's card and printer ink on mine
Accessories (my card): Martha Stewart snowflake punch; SU 1/4 inch circle punch; Nestabilities; letter tiles; Flower Soft snow; Copic and spica glitter pens; Glue dots
Accessories (Meredith's card): buttons; Rich Razzleberry ribbon by SU; Candy Cane stripe embossing folder by Cuttlebug; American Girl music note punch

Always on my Mind...you little bug, you!

Hello, ladies!! I trust you all had great weekends!! Mine was somewhat relaxing, and I did get a little crafting time in there! This little guy is a cute little image from Rusty Pickle Digital Delights, and I had a lot of fun coloring him and playing around with the layout of this card. I knew that I wanted to cut him out, so I had to think of a background. I used my brayer to create the look of a pond, and I used a fun little stamp from Savvy Stamps to give me the grassy look. Then, what to do about a sentiment. Well, I cracked up when I found this one...a little play on words because we know how much frogs "love" bugs!

We are in the works of coming up with some fun challenges for you all for the Rusty Pickle Digital Delights...stop on over to the blog because Michelle is always giving something away and adding great new images for sale!

These are the Copic colors that I used...sorry that the Ciaos don't have numbers on the ends of them...I used G94 and G99, I believe!

Card Details:
Stamps: Frog by Rusty Pickle Digital Delights; Grass from Savvy stamps
Paper: Glossy White, Soft Suede, Soft Sky cardstock all by Stampin' Up
Ink: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Soft Suede, Old Olive by Stampin' Up
Accessories: Copics (as shown above); brayer; sponges; SU oval and scalloped oval punches; SU rubons; 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch circle punches; SU soft suede ribbon

Getrdone Friday!

Not the best grammar in my title, but I think you get the point! I am woefully behind on my scrapbooking! In fact, I started out as a scrapbooker who moved into cardmaking. And, fortunately or unfortunately, I have devoted more time to my cards than my scrapbooks. So, I decided to tap into it a little more. These two pages are actually samples I made for our local stamp store, Southern Scrapbooks, to display and showcase a new paper pack from My Mind's Eye called Ooh La La. It is gorgeous paper, and I also made three cards from the pack, which I will highlight at a little later date.

Details:
Paper: Ooh La La by My Mind's Eye; Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up
Accessories: SU border punch; SU Hodgepodge Hardware; Beyond Birthdays Cricute Cartridge; SU satin ribbon

It's a Mommy and Me Mercy Sketch and a Free Digi from Rusty Pickle Digital Delights!!

Meredith and I spent the later half of the afternoon making these cards based on Mercy's Tuesday sketch this week. She wanted to do the same thing that I was doing...it only got a little hairy when she insisted on using my Creative Memories cutting system to cut her circles. I let her do it, but she quickly realized that her hands can't do everything! And, can you tell she likes bling stickers? Well, she does!
Did I mention a free digi? You can get the digi free HERE from the Rusty Pickle Digital Delights site. If you love digis, you'll think it is awesome! If you have never used a digi, why not download it and try it? He's a cutie! The image is the one that Meredith and I used for our cards today!!
Here is the awesome sketch we used from Mercy's BLOG. It was fun and very versatile! And, I also did the challenge from the Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog HERE by using the My Mind's Eye paper, which can be found in their store!

The Copics that I used for the image.
Don't Forget...you can still win a set of 72 Copic Ciao from Michelle at Rusty Pickle Digital Delights. All you have to do to be entered is purchase $10 worth of stamps in her store, and you will be entered. Very easy!! And, pssst...there are very few entries, so your chances are very good!!

Paper: Basic Black and Tangerine Tango by Stampin' Up; Colorful Christmas by My Mind's Eye
