Can you believe that my card has no stamping on it? I wanted to build around this beautiful butterfly that I found at Michaels! Paper Pretties Monday Whatnots!

2nd post today--scroll down for Woodware USA!
We have a back to school theme this week at Paper Pretties! In fact, the name of this image and the sentiment is "Back to School." I wanted to give the blackboard effect, so I colored then cut out two sides of the image. It is hard to see, but I even used a Copic marker to make the lines of the paper appear blue with a pink line down the side. I just think this little worm is a cutie coming out of that bright and shiny apple! The paper is Real Red and Basic Black from Stampin' Up, and the ribbon is a retired style, also by Stampin' Up. The sentiment is cut out using a Nestabilities shape.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you would like to join in the fun, please visit HERE for more details and more samples!

Woodware USA #41 - a 3-2-1 Challenge

This week's challenge at Woodware USA is a 3-2-1 challenge -- 3 papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 image. It was fun to get my creative groove on with this week's challenge! The paper is one of my favorites from My Mind's Eye -- Fine and Dandy. The set is from Woodware USA and it is called Ted in the Garden. I colored the image with Copic markers, then I cut the image with Nestabilities and sponged the edges to give it a bit of a frame. It is layered on Chocolate Chip cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The middle paper is cut with a border punch from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by today...hope all of you survived the wrath of Irene!

FBW168 A Surprise from Victoria Case!!

This sweet image is from Victoria Case, and she designed it especially for Danni at Flutter By Wednesday! We are so privileged to be able to create with her this week! I just loved this image. In fact, I wanted it to come out just right that I would only color a little bit of it and obsess over what colors to use from there on out. It took me three days to color the image. Not because it was hard, just wanted it to be right! Well, I like the way she came out! We would love to have you join us this week at Flutter By Wednesday for an open challenge. All you need to do is include a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your creation, and you are golden! Upload your creation HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today...it's an exciting day here! Meredith is back to school! It is sad to say goodbye to summer, but she is so looking forward to 1st grade! Wow, is she growing up!

2nd post - scroll down for Woodware USA
Sorry about my picture today...I don't know what was going on with my camera! And, no amount of help from PSE was going to right it today! The blue is just a little off for my liking!

We have a brand new release today from Paper Pretties, and ARTish has created a cute little image called Channel Surfers. I just love the recliner! And, we all know that cats and mice do really get along! Our challenge this week was to use a color combination -- blue, brown, and a color your choice. Well, my third color is orange (of sorts) in my colored image! For more information and some fun examples, please visit the Paper Pretties blog for more details!

Woodware USA Challenge #40 - Try a New Technique

Hello...it's Monday! What a crazy, busy couple of weeks we have had around here! School starts on Wednesday, and there seems to be more prep in the two weeks before than there is in the first few months. YIKES! However, Meredith is very excited for 1st grade to begin!

We have a great challenge this week at Woodware USA. We want you to try a new technique. I tried to do double embossing at first, and it came out a little wonky, so I was able to covere it with the cameo in the center with the matting. Then, I moved to embossed embossing. It didn't come out exactly the way I had planned, but sometimes that is ok! I like the sparkle on this card! If you would like to join us this week, please visit HERE for more details and to upload your card!

DID YOU KNOW...that Woodware USA has a new fall release? And, they are adorable. From Spooky Tots to Garden Gnomes, you have to check out the wonderful new sets HERE!

Card Details:
Stamps: Elegant Cameos by Woodware USA
Paper: Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler by Stampin' UP
Ink: Palette Noir and Versamark
Accessories: Nestabilities; SU black satin ribbon; sparkle embossing powder; Bow Easy

FBW167 Break out those dies and punches!

It's a wonderful Wednesday at Flutter By Wednesday this week because we get to use my favorite things -- dies and punches! I don't know what I would do without all of them. In fact, I wish I had invented the concept! If you would like to join us this week, please visit HERE and don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!

This little cutie is from an Angel Company set by Mabelle RO called "He Created Spring". She is just so talented, and of course, I have to have some rubber designed by Mabelle in addition to the wonderful digis that you can purchase from Whimsy and Stars Studio! If you haven't discovered Mabelle, what are you waiting for?

PTT29 A fun sketch for you and 2 cards!!

This little cutie is from Chi Chi Memories and he is called Goodnight Babies...isn't he a cutie? I paper pieced him with some paper from Basic Grey. I then paired him with some old favorites from Stampin' Up -- Blue Bayou and Soft Sky! The ribbon is twisted to just give a different look, and the image where it is not paper pieced is colored with Copic markers.

This adorable image from The Paper Shelter is the image that I chose to focus my sketch card on! I had to tweak the image a bit to work with the materials I had, but I believe that you can see the basics of the sketch. This little cutie is called Sunny Day by The Paper Shelter. I used the new pennant builder die from Sizzix that is available through Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from Woodware USA, and I used all Stampin' Up paper for the card (Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette, and Pink Flamingo DSP). The image is colored with Copic markers, and the ribbon is a no name brand from Hobby Lobby. The sketch from Stacy is below.

Thanks for stopping by today...don't forget to visit the Party Time Tuesdays blog for more inspiration and information on the products and stamp lines represented here!
