Only 4 more days until Halloween...that is what Meredith tells me!! She is so excited about Halloween and the candy, of course! Our challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday was to use purple, orange and black on our cards. Don't forget to include a butterfly, angel, or fairy on your card! I chose to use black butterflies on mine. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever used a black butterfly in one of my creations. So, get your creativity flowing into the cauldron of cards and get crackin'! Upload your creation HERE!
I have used this adorable stamp called Witch Sophia from Paper Pretties this week...I was so glad to be able to ink it up! She is a cutie!!
My card is also entered in the Paper Pretties challenge this week, which is to make a square card - mine is 5 1/2 inches square!
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Saturdays, as you know, are utterly sensational at Sugar Creek Hollow. We were challenged to use one of two digital images this week. It was either this primitive sheep or Christmas Cardinal, which I used a couple of weeks ago. This was a fun image to work with. I actually printed it out twice on both white and kraft cardstock. I then cut out the body and layered it on the kraft paper. I used black liquid applique to give some texture to the sheep's fur. I printed it out a third time and popped up the heart. I used Stickles to give it a little sparkle!

I have a box that came in a pack of six from Martha Stewart Crafts. It is designed to hold treats (brownies, bars, cookies, etc.), so I decided to jazz it up a bit. I tend to give more treats around the holidays, so I made this for Christmas. I kept the stamping simple, but I loved that I could assemble the phrase “we wish you a Merry Christmas” through stamps in the set called Traditional Christmas Greetings. It is a great all purpose set, and it gives you a large amount of greetings, both religious and secular.
I used a set of paper from My Mind’s Eye called Colorful Christmas, and it is adorable…so glad that I had some left over from last year because this box took up a lot! The box is almost 9 inches square, and the depth is 2 ½ inches. The ribbon is Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon from Stampin’ Up.
