Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #14 Break out the Brads!

If you are a collector like me, I bet you have a million brads! With a multitude of bling stickers, my brads don't exactly get the love that they deserve. Hence, the wonderful challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays. Use a brad on your birthday card...just don't forget to include your sentiment on the front of the card. We want to KNOW it's a birthday card! Link up your creation HERE so that we may admire your genius!
Party Time Tuesdays will be taking a hiatus during the month of September, but we will be back strong in October. However, you will see birthday cards featured on my blog and the Party Time Tuesdays blog, so don't think we are leaving you completely! Everyone needs birthday cards, right? September is a big birthday month in my family, so I know that I will be making plenty of cards during that time!!
Stop by tomorrow for Flutter By Wednesday...it's a big one that you will not want to miss. I'll give you a hint...oh, wait, I've been sworn to secrecy! You're just dying right now, aren't you?

Last Scrapmaster's Paradise August Projects

These are the three final projects made with this month's Scrapmaster's Paradise August card kit. Samantha is going to discontinue the scrapbooking kits, but she will continue to assemble card kits each month.

I was able to use my bird punch on this next really simple card. The paper is Greenhouse Gala, and the cardstock is pink pirouette and chocolate chip. The sentiment is from Versatile Verses, and I used Nestabilities.
A fun and easy card using Nestabilities and Stampin' Up punches. Pardon the less than juicy ink pad that I used...no reinker (what was I thinking?). The set is Circle Circus.

A quick and simple little card using the remainder of the card kit...I can't stand to leave any scrap unused!! The size of the card is 4 1/4 inch square!

Thanks for stopping by today...I'll be back tomorrow with my Party Time Tuesday card!!

School Treats from Woodware USA!!

Happy Saturday...it's another project feature from Woodware USA! This week's challenge was to bring you a treat package to be put in a child's lunch box! I used the criss cross box that was available free from Nichole Heady from Papertrey Ink a while back. The pattern is super easy to follow, and it makes a nice treat holder for a small bag of cookies or candy! I've used the School Tots set from Woodware USA. The sentiment "School Days" fits so nicely right inside the apple that I just had to do it!! The paper is Riding Hood Red designer paper and cardstock, and it is paired with Night of Navy. I used the 1 inch, 1 3/8 inch, and 1 1/2 inch circle punches for the sentiment. The ribbon is also Stampin' Up.

Visit the Woodware USA blog for daily inspiration and samples using these super cute stamps!!
My second project today is also school-related, and it uses the adorable School Days set from Pure Innocence by My Favorite Things. I used this week's SSSC82 sketch, but I missed the deadline to post. This is the kind of week that I have had. We are still adjusting to our new schedule...who would have thought it could be so hard! The designer paper is from June Bug by Basic Grey, and the black cardstock is from Stampin' Up. I have also entered this card and treat box into the Stamp Something challenge this week--Back to School Something.
Thanks for stopping by today...hopefully, I will be back into the full swing of things very soon!

FBW119 Off to School...Flutter By Style

Well, it's official...my daughter is now a kindergartner! She started school yesterday, and this is a card that we made for the assistant teacher. I'll have the card for her teacher on in a day or two. I had to use this adorable new image I bought from Paper Pretties. If you aren't aware, Paper Pretties is under new ownership, and Heather is doing an awesome job! I placed my order on Sunday, and my stamps arrived on Wednesday. Now, that is some seriously fast shipping and great service. The Paper Pretties challenge this week is Back to School (luck would have it that I did this card!!) I also used the sketch from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C51).

It is Flutter By Wednesday, and I had to add butterflies to this card...butterflies can fit in anywhere. We planted flowers in our front bed. Finally, after 7 years of living here, and I am so glad that we did. We planted lantana and verbena and the butterflies are constantly visiting. How awesome is it to see butterflies every day? Well, at least at Flutter By Wednesday, you can see them once a week.

You definitely want to participate this week...it's an open challenge (use a butterfly, fairy, and/or angel), and you need to have participated at least once to experience the wonders starting next week on the FBW blog. Something big is coming, and you are in for a treat!! I can't spill the beans just yet, but it will definitely be worth your while!! Upload your creation HERE. We have to say goodbye to Tina this week, but we will have a new guest designer next week. Be sure to leave the team some love this week.

I leave you with my kindergartner. She practically bounced out of bed she was so excited! I was strong and held back the tears, but I was definitely sobbing inside!!

Paper: Poppy Parade DSP and CS, Night of Navy DSP and CS by Stampin' Up

Lucky Number 13 is Child's Play

Our challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays is to make a birthday for a child. I have so many cute images that it was hard to narrow it down to just one. However, I finally inked up some of the Pure Innocence lovelies. They are super fun to color and create with, so this was a no-brainer. I was able to dig out a big flower to use for the background...I thought it would add a little more texture than using a larger nestie behind it. Voila...here it is!!

We would love to have you join us this week at Party Time Tuesdays for challenge #13...don't forget that it is a birthday card with a birthday-esque sentiment on the front. Link it up HERE so that we may come and visit!! We have a guest designer this week...Kimberly!

Card Details:
Stamps: Pure Innocence; Vintage Labels by Stampin' UP
Paper: Sugar Rush by Basic Grey; Certainly Celery, Choc. Chip by SU
Ink: Choc. Chip by SU; Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Prima flower; Nestabilities; Copic markers; SU ribbon

Woodware USA - Favorite Technique

It's a jungle out there, ladies. Too bad the animals weren't all this CUTE!! Today is my day to share my favorite technique with you for the Woodware USA DT spotlight. We have such an amazing group of ladies on our team, and it is always awesome to go to the DT blog everyday and have a new project posted...talk about ideas!! The technique that I have chosen to highlight this week is dry embossing because I use it every chance that I get. Who doesn't love the texture it affords?

Last Saturday, I was so fortunate to be able to work at the Woodware USA stand at the CKC-Charlotte event. I was able to meet fans of Woodware and introduce new people to these amazing stamps. For those of you reading this whom I met, thank you for being so kind and upbeat. It was wonderful to meet all of you!

A little announcement about the future of Woodware USA at these wonderful scrapbooking/stamping expos...they are now teaming up with Tessler Stamps, and they will be carrying Woodware USA stamps. Not only can you purchase the stamps at the shows through them, but they sell amazing supplies for all of your stamping/scrapbooking needs. So, stop in and say "hi" to them!

Stamps: Jungle Pals by Woodware USA
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, and Wild Wasabi by Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Creamy Caramel by SU
Accessories: Basic Grey ribbon; Sizzix embossing folder; copic markers;

MMSC67 and a Sugar Creek Hollow Freebie!!

Good morning!! Can you believe how quickly August is flying by? My little one starts kindergarten next week...how did that happen? My card today is for this week's Midnight Madness sketch #67, and I'm using a free image from Sugar Creek Hollow. You can grab it HERE. I colored the background with E50 and E51 to give it an aged look, and I roughed up the edges a bit. I don't have any flourishes, so I created my own using Basic Grey pearls. The paper is Graphic 45, and the card stock is Chocolate Chip and Pear Pizzazz by Stampin' Up. The ribbon is from my stash (which if laid end to end could probably take me around the globe!).
Thanks for stopping by today!!

A very simple card today highlighting the August card kit from Scrapmaster's Paradise. Sunday Stamping: Out of the Doldrums

I've been in a dry spell for the past week or so. I'm sure it was a combination of upheaval in my upstairs and stamp room and some things going on in the family, but today was my day! And, I think I unblocked myself. I've made 6 cards today...you'll see the others this week coming up! It's good to just go with it when you have the right ideas in your head, so I did!! Meredith has either been stamping and coloring with me or with her daddy at the pool. Thank goodness he knew I needed the "time" to create!

Also, I finally inked up my first Kraftin' Kimmie stamp...I've had them for over 2 months, but this is the first time I used them. And, can I just say, that the Angry Ballerina cracks me up! I'd be upset if I had to dress up in a pig costume, too!

The first card is for two challenges:
The second card is also from a stamp set that hasn't seen ink, but it's been almost a year since I bought this one. This particular image reminded me so much of my daughter and making brownies that I had to buy it!! The image is from Crafty Secrets.

The second card is for this week's Cupcake Inspirations challenge #71 found HERE. It was fun, and it of course made me hungry!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! I really appreciate your visit!

Any suggestions of Copic color combos for either would be greatly appreciated.

There is another component to the challenge...use your favorite color. Well, that was a tricky one. I have a favorite color (purple), but I have a favorite crafting color (pink), so I went with the crafting color!! Tap into your inner favorite color and join us this week. Upload HERE so we can come and admire your work! Thanks for joining us this week!
